Owl City Music Videos: 'Early Birdie' and Beyond
Owl City, a musical project masterminded by Adam Young, has only been around since 2007, when he first uploaded music on his Myspace page. He became popular in the mainstream music world in 2009, when his hit single 'Fireflies' shot up the charts after debuting his first record from Universal Republic, 'Ocean Eyes'. His next project, 'All Things Bright and Beautiful', was released in June of 2011. The first single from this record was 'Alligator Sky' in which Adam collaborated with Shawn Chrystopher, a rap artist from LA. This single debuted at number 1 on iTune's electronic track chart in March 2011. Owl City's latest full-length album, 'The Midsummer Station' was released in the fall of 2012. The popular single (from TMS), 'Good Time' is a duet with Carly Rae Jepsen. It was released on June 26th and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 18. The music video for 'Good Time' is one of his more popular videos. 'Shooting Star' is his latest video from his EP of the same name and his full length album. Owl City's song, 'When Can I See You Again?' was featured in Disney's animated movie, 'Wreck It Ralph'. The video for this song featured Adam and clips from the movie. His latest music video is for the song 'Metropolis'. It features some comic book style animation. As Owl City's success continues to grow Adam will continue to inspire all ages with his imaginative music.
Being a newly recognized artist, Adam Young continues to grow a fan base around the world. In appreciation for his fans and to promote his music, he has starred in only a few music videos since the start of his career.

This is a creative approach to showcase 'Umbrella Beach'. When I hear this song, I think of a dance floor or sea creatures and not a small town scene leading up to a boxcar competition, but each to his own. Do you think there is any significance to the mother looking at a picture of Adam or did he just want to make an 'appearance'?

'To the Sky' is a song Owl City recorded for the animated movie, 'Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole'. Be sure to catch the transformation at the end.

Adam released an acoustic side project under the moniker 'Sky Sailing' in 2010. 'Brielle' was the single released and this artsy music video captures the bitter-sweet feeling of this love-lost song.

A deserted town, balloons, confetti, constellations, a rocket, future space technology, luscious beats, a rap and pop electronic musical marriage, and a memory-filled montage of Adam's hometown all make up this magical music video for 'Alligator Sky'.

This music video features a guest appearance from the artist LIGHTS, a deer that is clearly out of his natural habitat, and some blast from the past 'Back to the Future' fun. Things aren't quite what they seem...Hmmmm.
