Paul, Apostle Of Christ Movie Review….

There is no greater person that has walked the earth or will walk the earth than the Apostle Paul, except Abraham whom the Promise of Salvation was given to and the Christ Himself, the manifestation of said Promise from Abba Father (God) to Abraham that through the sojourning Patriarch’s loins, all the people of the world will be blessed by the coming redeeming Messiah, Christ Jesus. Those of us who say that we are Christians indeed owe the utmost respect to the Apostle Paul who was the mouth-piece of Christ Jesus, whereby, the Apostle Paul chronicled in his epistles -- at least one third Biblical New Testament -- the very actual Words of the Lord Jesus Christ, as to how to live our lives to secure Salvation, resulting into the ultimate victory/prize of a home in Heaven. What did the Lord Jesus tell the Apostle Paul to write about our pending Heavenly home in 1st Corinthians 2:9: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. So it is only fitting then that among the perversions that come out of Hollywood that a movie about the third greatest man that has ever graced the earth deserved a movie of his God/Jesus given inspired storied life.

My beloved better half happened to procure, via her job, tickets to the premiere for the movie, Paul, An Apostle Of Christ, which takes place around A.D. 67 when the Apostle Paul was imprisoned in Rome and waiting martyrdom at the wicked behest of Emperor Nero. It must be noted that the Apostle Paul and countless Christians who were publicly fed to the lions, were wrongfully blamed by Emperor Nero for fires that burned a huge swath of Rome. The Apostle Paul, played with quiet humbleness by James Faulkner, is awaiting execution as the leader of the Christians, which was then called “The Way”; is visited by Luke -- the famed physician that authored the inspired Gospel of Luke and The Acts of the Apostles -- as a comforting brother/believer in Christ Jesus and one who was seeking some final epiphany from the Apostle Paul to comfort those who were being brutally martyred by the fiddling Emperor Nero.

What is so brilliant about the movie is that the teachings that Traditional Christians are familiar with in Paul’s epistles are not just inspired by Christ Jesus, but that Paul in his life in prison would come across situations or memories of his travels that would trigger the wisdom that is recorded in his God-inspired writings. For example, Paul bemoaning the fact that when he was the chief assassin, then known as Saul of Tarsus, who persecuted and murdered the early Christians, took solace when the Lord told him that where there is much Sin (Saul’s persecutions/killing of Christians), Christ Jesus’ Grace abounds even more so (Roman 5:20).

Those who read my blogs in this forum or elsewhere know that I do not write in a vacuum... in that I incorporate the tidings of the day with any given blog; and with that in mind, I must juxtapose the tenets that the Christ gave the Apostle Paul, as recorded in most of the New Testament, to the current teachings that are holding sway in our churches. We have today in our churches where the world, Hollywood, and politicians have perverted the Word of God, as given to the Apostle Paul. However, know this, no one speaks for the Lord Jesus on how we should live our lives as Christians -- but what was given to the Apostle Paul and recorded in his epistles… meaning that what the Apostle Paul has to say as to abortion; same sex marriage; respect for Israel; Fornication; … and Adultery, is sacrosanct and cannot be altered... no matter the conspicuous perversions of these tenets by Hollywood, politicians, preachers, or so called converts with ‘itching’ ears!

Another area of apt discussion is how the demonic influence of Racial Pride is entrenched in our churches today and that the subtle irony is that the very pride that caused Satan to fall like lightning from his Heavenly abode is separating us from Christ Jesus. In essence, along as he or she is Black or White or Hispanic, we have tailored our respective beliefs or interpretation of Biblical scriptures to that demonic pride-full end. Did the Lord, through the Apostle Paul’s writings, spare the Apple of His Eyes, the Jews, from chastisement and literal hellish consequences…? What make you think that those of us from Ham’s lineage are going to be spared for perverting his word in thoughts and deeds, even if said perversions are predicated on Racial Pride? I also wished that I had time to address all you preachers writing books… with many in the Body-of-Christ religiously reading these vanity tomes, instead of the Word of God, as authored by the apostle Paul and others, which none of these filthy mammon loving, vain-glorious preachers writing these ‘books’ can emulate -- but that is a blog for another time.

I end by saying to anyone reading this blog that I lovingly dare them to ask the Christ that the Apostle Paul so reverently wrote about to manifest Himself because He is faithful to do so for their Salvation… for the demonic teachings of Ecumenism -- whereby there are so called many ways to God -- are just that. I noise this rhetorical query: why would the Apostle Paul be commanded to spread Christ Jesus’ Gospel to the four corners of the world, if the gods in Rome or Greece or India, or Egypt were the same.... In Romans 10:9, as authored by the Apostle Paul and inspired by the Lord Jesus Christ, we are simply told what to do to attain Salvation: That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

As it is my wont, I have included in this blog, music, here, Hillsong’s -- Nothing But The Blood of Jesus -- to help flesh out the themes of this blog… drill down into the hyperlink below and enjoy a song about the Fulcrum of this life and the next! To parrot the great Apostle Paul, Maranatha! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VatgzdydWWA.
