Abby or Penelope? Plum Sauce vs. Soda Pop
Abby
Abby tries to make every day a good day.
- My horoscope says today is a good day
Today my horoscope says it is a good day to indulge in some wishful thinking [my] ability to dream up great ideas is at an all-time high! [That] it's even more important for [me] to share these new ideas with friends…
Two of my favorite TV characters are Abby from NCIS and Penelope from CRIMINAL MINDS. These ladies epitomize individuality. I think that is pretty cool!
Penelope
Penelope believes "Everything happens for a reason."
- Criminal Minds: How true is their BAU?
In this piece, I explore the similarities between the BAU from the television show, "Criminal Minds" and the real FBI BAU.
Celebrating Individuality
Are you obsessed with NCIS?
Can you tat a tattoo?
Perhaps, you prefer baubles, bubble gum, feathers and rouge.
Either way, you can't go wrong.
You can choose Abby
in pigtails, hair parted perfectly straight
so shiny
black and slick.
Or you can choose Penelope
curls and swirls
clickety quick.
It does not matter
which girl you pick.
It is okay if
Abby fits your style
skulls and studs
metal and Goth
or
if like Penelope
you enjoy
tassels and strings,
red velvet cake
among other things.
Each rocks her own coolness
so glorious and free.
Both memorable and covert--
special forces
everyone can see
specializing in recognizance
turning night into day
with heart and soul
for all that is good
because
Penelope and Abby
eradicate evil
as we all should.
If given the chance,
I would love to see
just what it's like
to be one of them
instead of me.
To have the courage
to be who I am
to fight injustice
to have my own lab.
From this night on...
I'm going to dream
what it would be like
to be happy
to be free
wearing what I want
saying what I say
embracing life
for all to see
I am who I am
I have got to be me!
