About me

We had been asked to watch the movie because it had a noble cause. It wanted to give us all a message. This is a Filipino movie which has the aim to make people aware of HIV and its consequences. So,this was my reflection on the movie.I decided to post it here.I hope you enjoy reading it.
Reflection
Positive: Silhouettes of the Night is an Arthur Zata film starring Claudette Centeno, Jong Temporal and Aldrico Lubaton.
The movie has conveyed an important message. It has tried to make people aware of the consequences create due to their thoughtless mistakes. This movie shows how people's life change and how they deal with problems when they suffer from a disease that cannot be treated i.e. AIDS. It has tried to change the stereotypical thoughts of people about HIV and our society into a non-ignorant one.
Respect relationships
It is very important for people to take relationships seriously. In this movie, there is a character who has multiple sex partners. He has a fiancée who he has promised to marry. On the other hand, he also has a boyfriend. He is a bisexual. He is not loyal as he has multiple sex partners .Although his fiancée and his male partner are very serious about their relationships. The unfaithful man's lie gets exposed in front of his fiancée. His fiancée gets deeply hurt for being played. He played with every relationship he had. His fiancée leaves him .His male partner suffers from HIV, meets with an accident and eventually dies. The unfaithful man realizes all his mistakes and regrets everything he did. This story says that life is not a game.
Relationships are to be respected. Also, abstinence is an important thing. This character always indulged himself in sexual relationships with multiple partners which made him an AIDs patient. Therefore, it’s better to avoid things than to treat them later on. It's better to prevent than to regret on it later on. It not only hurts one person but also his family and the people he loves. The boy made several mistakes and paid for them. However, he decided to fight HIV and live a beautiful life instead for himself and the other HIV positive people. It is very important for people to take relationships seriously. Our future
There is also a small girl shown in the movie who has been made of aware of HIV AIDS by her professor. She tells the small girl a heartbreaking story. The story is about a girl who gets raped and becomes the victim of HIV .So she gets hated by the society. People even think that HIV can be transmitted just with physical touch. The society is against her and her family. This shows a bitter truth about how society can be selfish. All of us are members of the society. Therefore, it is our responsibility to support these HIV positive victims to move on. We should help them fight with the disease instead of looking down upon them. The professor herself being an HIV victim is still moving on with positive attitude in the movie. She depicts the story of all other real life HIV victims who are fighting for people like them and creating awareness amongst people.
The movie has asked us to spread Hope, Involvement and Values instead. We should hope for a society and a country where people do not suffer from HIV/AIDS. We should involve ourselves in educating people around us and making them aware on this matter. We should be able to promote values that we have been taught since our childhood. We should target that our society will be HIV free one day. This would create an HIV free nation and eventually the whole world.
Everything lies on our hands. It depends upon our choice and attitude. These days there are media spreading and educating people. We should not be ignorant about these things. We should start things from our side. The change should begin from us. Just like drops of water makes an ocean. Small efforts from each individual can make a big difference. We should be loyal to our partners. Multiple sex partners should be avoided. If possible, we should also try abstinence. If we find people with HIV/AIDS, we should support them and help them to move on. No matter what happens, we should maintain a positive attitude and keep fighting with HIV to create a better place for all.
