Powers and abilities utilized by Trigon in Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

So, if you had any doubts about just how powerful Trigon is, this movie probably shed some light into them. Simply put, this primeval extradimensional demon packs enough powers and abilities to rival even the big bad Darkseid.

You could say that the new God had been weakened from the conquest in OA, Batman’s audacious sword to his eye and the fight with Superman, but still, he was immensely powerful.

This, is what you could call a random encounter where both parties had no time to study and prepare for the fight. However, to Trigon, this was like something he had been waiting for throughout his existence. Here are some of the powers and abilities we saw in the movie:

Possession

Trigon was able to possess Superman after denying John’s offer. Superman had been infused with liquid kryptonite and was basically powerless but after the possession, he was healed. So, it can only be assumed that Trigon helped restore Superman’s powers so he could use his vessel at full capacity.

Energy Blasts

While fighting with Darkseid, he was forced to use energy blasts from all his eyes. Not only were they able to match the Omega beams, but they also managed to injure Darkseid.

Invulnerability

Trigon is an incredibly powerful being. Darkseid’s punches were barely able to weaken him. He was able to hold his own against the New God like it was nothing.

Enhanced Agility

Trigon was able to quickly block Darkseid’s punches and deliver quick powerful punches. In the movie, we see just how good he is in hand to hand combat.

Size manipulation

In Justice league vs Teen Titans, Trigon was a gigantic demon who saw the league as flies. In Apokolips war, he was smaller and only slightly taller than Darkseid. Considering that these movies are connected, Trigon might have reduced in size to battle the New God.
