The Album "Chris Isaak" and the Lyrical Themes

Chris Isaak is the second studio album by American rock musician Chris Isaak released in 1986. While many people may remember him for songs such as Wicked Game, this self-titled album has quite a few memorable songs as well. The songs of Chris Isaak focus on lyrical themes having to do with relationships, love, and loss.

"Chris Isaak" the First Four Songs Including Blue Hotel and You Owe Me Some Kind of Love

You Owe me Some Kind of Love is a song about someone that wants to return to his love but she has decided that he is not the one for her. Or is he? He does not want to see her get hurt or cry. He wants her to come back into his life he does not want to have any fights. Love can sometimes be elusive for some of us. The beautiful song Blue Hotel was popular in France. Sometimes we feel that we are all alone and loneliness if it is persistent can be something that has detrimental effects on a person. Lie to Me is a song about a man that knows that he is lying to the woman that he loves even though he claims that he is not lying. He is only trying to get by in life.

About the Songs Fade Away, This Love Will Last, and Cryin'

Fade Away is a song about a man that says that for him, there is no sunshine or rain. Every day is the same until he meets up with her again. This Love Will Last is a song that tells the story that sometimes it is very hard to tell someone that we love them. Hard times will not last forever and true love will be the best tool to use to get through life. Cryin’ is a song that tells the story of someone that is crying because they have been hurt by the person that claims to love them.

"Lovers Game" Is the Best Song in Chris Isaak's Self-Titled Album

However, the best song on this album is the song called "Lovers Game." Love is just a game that some people play. They will call a person and say to them that they love them. If they really loved a person they probably wouldn’t call them because they would hurt them. Or would they? Lovers Game may be a very hard song to handle if you are falling in love. It is hard for me to handle sometimes as well but the guitar solo is terrific!

Final Thoughts About "Chris Isaak" the Album

Waiting for the Rain to Fall is the last song in this album and it is about someone who knows that the person he used to love does not really love anyone in the world. He is just waiting for the rain to fall. As we all know, the phrase “life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning how to dance in the rain” is the best attitude to have. But some people just have a very negative attitude about life. Overall, this album called Chris Isaak is a very solid rock album that is full of love songs for those of you that love this type of music.
