Santana's new album "Guitar Heaven"
If you are looking for a traditional Santana album this is not it ,this is Carlos Santana doing covers of classic rock songs. I didn’t have much hope that I would like this album only because I rarely like any covers of any classic rock songs that anyone ever recorded ,until now.
Carlos has taking these classic rock tunes and infused them with his Latin rock style breathing new life into awesome classic rock songs. But what do you expect from a guitar master who performs his music with wizard like skills making pure instrumental magic .
This album is a collaboration between Santana and Clive Davis, Chief Creative Officer of Sony Music Entertainment, here are the band members who join him Denny Chambers (drums), Benny Rietveld (bass), Karl Perrazo (timbales), Tommy Anthony (rhythm guitar), Freddie Ravel (keyboards), Andy Vargas (background vocals), and Raul Rekow (congas). Bill Ortiz on trumpet and Jeff Cressman on trombone also appear on the record.

I loaded this album into my Zune and put in my ear buds and let my mind absorb the music like a sponges, I was amazed how good this album is and how I was enjoying the music. With a all star cast and great music Carlos Santana has worked his magic again, he has taking these guitar classic songs has he calls them and illustrated them his way has only Santana know how to do. If you are a Santana fan than this is a must have album, he has won me over with his great covers of some of the best classic rock songs .
