Satanic Deception and Hollywoodland: Behind the Moral Shift

Updated on April 22, 2011

We are in the satanic "new age"

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12 If you believe that world is getting better and movies have no effect on how the see and value morals please go back and watch TV. If you have noticed the moral decline in the world, and the new slogans of today "Live and let live", "Free sex", "Christians are the real problem", "Homosexuality is normal and we should teach our kids that is normal, and encourage them to experiment with It.","The family unit is not important" etc. We hear these lies often enough that we might even believe it, but we must realize satan is the father of lies and can appear as an angel of light but his ways only lead to death. As an actor, I once longed for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood it was my dream I worked hard got decent acting jobs and really thought I would make it. But something kept me from really making it I thought it was me, but I now realize it was God, the world wanted to compromise my convictions I couldn't. I left that world and began to follow Jesus, and He has blessed me with a Drama ministry and allows me to use my talents to honor the kingdom of God.

ive struggled with the t.v. thing and one particular evening I was trying to justify why it was ok to watch a certain program. The fact that I was attempting to justify was my first clue I was wrong but just as i nestled in to watch this verse came to my mind Psalm 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before my eyes. It is not ok to be entertained by evil. Nice hub.

We all love to be entertained, to be taken away from boredom we create by not following the Lord. I know when I am having trouble with sin and not following the Lord I am buried in the TV. I procrastinate from what I should do. That's sin. I say I will serve and worship later and that's making a god out of the television and whomever is on it, because it becomes an idol placed in importance over God. I love to have adventure because it excites me to see someone in danger and then be saved. The problem with this is, as I seek out those types of movies, the ones that are the most exciting has a really bad guy in it. The villian must be real bad so the situation will be real bad and thus the plot be "real" good. Today's villians of movies and TV are far, far beyond the bad guys of the '60's that played on Bonanza or Gunsmoke or Wagon Train. Those stories had liars, cheats, thieves, killers - but now the villians are serial killers, possessed, twisted pedophiles and all manner of perverts of the will and way of God. The heroes back then were usually men and women of God. They were "square" and obeyed the rules. Today the heroes are anti-heroes. Some do the very things that would constitute them villians and yet the story compells one to root for them. Even demons and the devil himself have been "hero"s and accepted "for the story's sake." We keep watching because it is stories and we need stories, or so we think. We are bored with things that should excite us like things produced for Christians where the plot is spiritual warfare. So we skip that for explotions and evil run amok. We think we can handle it but it does take a toll and will until we leave this body of sin. Love you Pammy.
