Series Review: Hotel del Luna (2019)
REVIEW
Hotel del Luna recently aired on Netflix this 2019, from then on it received four awards and has been nominated twice, but it doesn't stop there. This 2020, they've been waiting for five more awards that the show may garner.
The drama's protagonists are Lee Ji-eun also known as 'IU' and Yeo Jin-goo as her partner. Their chemistry in the first episodes are clearly not visible, but as we go deeper in the drama, we see all the feels as we see them with each other. The way their relationship goes is very rare even in these kind of dramas; A strong woman that feels comfortable showing her weakness and vulnerability to her partner is really unique and touching.
The story of the drama is really out of the ordinary; the production team and writer have thought of everything that happens in the drama. Every episode, there is a conflict that they need to address and that conflict always leads to knowing each character in a deeper level with their own solutions. Their problems are so deep, yet not so, in a way that they can face it and get on with their lives.
I loved this drama because of how they portrayed and how the story goes. It really gets you chills and made a new kind of weather: 'bed weather with Netflix' as a thing. This drama is a must watch among Korean Dramas and I recommend it to anyone who kind of like this drama.
Hands down to the characters especially IU for portraying her character so well.
