Who is Kris Aquino?
Kris Aquino whose real name is Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino, is the daughter of the late and former Philippine Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. She is also the daughter of the late and former Philippine President Corazon Aquino. Her brother, Benigno Aquino III, is currently the President of the Philippines.
She is very popular among the Filipinos because of her TV commercials, TV talk shows and game shows. She's been dubbed "The Queen of Talk Shows" and "The Queen of Game Shows".

Famous Parents
In 1972, the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand E. Marcos imposed Martial Law in the Philippines. Her father, being one of the leaders of the oppossition group, was arrested and thrown into jail and spent seven years in prison before being allowed to travel to the United States of America to seek medical treatment after a heart attack in 1980.
When her father Benigno returned in 1983, he was shot dead on the tarmac of Manila International Airport. This event served as a catalyst that hastened the downfall of the dictator Marcos. Her mother, Cory, led the world-renowned EDSA People Revolution of 1986 that completely toppled the Marcos regime.
In 1987, her mother was declared the winner of the snap election that was held the previous year, making her the first Filipino woman President of the Philippines.
Kris Aquino and the Cojuanco Clan
Kris Aquino is a member of the wealthy Cojuanco clan from the Tarlac Province. They own a big (more than 6,000 hectares) sugar plantation estate called Hacienda Luisita. The Cojuancos have been criticized for refusing to let go of their ownership of the estate as part of the land reform program in the Philippines, where lands are being redistributed to poor farmers.
The Controversial Love Affairs
In 1994, Kris Aquino co-starred with action star Philip Salvador in the film "Nandito Ako" (translates to "I'm Here"). Kris Aquino and Philip Salvador got involved with each other and went into a live-in partnership. Philip was eighteen (18) years older than Kris, but the real issue was Philip could not possibly marry her because he was a married man. In 1996, Kris gave birth to a baby boy named Joshua and eventually, in 1999 they parted ways.
In 2000, Kris got involved again with another married man, Alvin Patrimonio, a PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) basketball star.
After two scandalous love affairs, she lived together with another married man, Joey Marquez, another PBA basketball star in 2012. A year later, she went on national TV to announce her breakup with Joey, accusing him of infidelity. She also said Joey pointed a loaded gun at her in their quarrel. But the most explosive of all her revelation was that Joey infected her with a sexually transmitted disease(STD).
