Sara Bareilles - "I Wanna Be Like Me"
Sara Bareilles continues to amaze me with her new album, The Blessed Unrest. Her gift of musical talent is grand, and not only is she a great singer/songwriter, she is also very talented when it comes to playing the piano. I feel that Bareilles is a better role model for young girls these days because she sends a positive message out in each of her albums/songs. "I Wanna Be Like Me" teaches people that it is ok to be who you are, and not to fear the judgement of those around you. This is a great pop song that is included as a bonus track on the iTunes release of her album.

San Cisco - "Fred Astaire"
The Aussie group San Cisco recently released a self-titled album that includes songs like "Beach" and "Awkward". I really enjoy "Fred Astaire" because of the catchy tune and impressive instrumentation. The music video is so much fun, featuring dance scenes akin to those that Fred Astaire himself may have made. And I really enjoy seeing the lone female in the band play the drums; she really rocks this track! I hope to hear more from San Cisco in the future.
Them Swoops - "Too Fast For Love"
"Too Fast For Love" is a single by yet another band from Australia, and it is featured on their EP entitled Glimmers. Simply put, it is a love song, telling the timeless tale of "boy meets girl". I would place Them Swoops into the Alterna-Pop genre because their Rock and Roll background mixes well with the Pop themes that dominate the airwaves these days. They possess the musical talent to go far in the industry, and break through onto the American Pop scene.
