Haim - "The Wire"
These California rocker girls have a new album coming out at the end of September, but the single "The Wire" is available now on iTunes. The sisters of Haim have absolutely perfect chemistry when it comes to making music, and it shows in their newest endeavor, Days Are Gone. I was drawn to their music the minute I heard the first few notes of this single. It is catchy, but also maintains a great Rock background that will please any music lover.

Divine Fits - "Would That Not Be Nice"
Divine Fits is a supergroup of sorts, compiled of members of other Alternative Rock groups, including Spoon and Wolf Parade. It was fairly easy for me to recognize the lead singer's voice from the moment he began singing on "Would That Not Be Nice" because I know the music of Spoon. Most songs on A Thing Called Divine Fits are similar to Spoon, but they have been amped up a bit more with an older Rock & Roll sound. And I am really digging the bass line that plays throughout the whole track. I hope to hear more from these guys in the future.

KT Tunstall - "The Boys of Summer"
There are several great tunes on KT Tunstall's new album, Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon, but she covers one of my favorite songs, so I had to feature it. As the last track, "The Boys of Summer" is an amazing ending to a great album. Although she doesn't change Don Henley's song very much, Tunstall's own rendition adds a certain stoicism that she effortlessly displays with her voice. She is the goddess of Folk music, and like any goddess, you can tell she has been through a lot to get where she is today. And she is thriving.
