Song of the Day - 7, 8 July 2013

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros are known for their folky hits that make you want to sit around a campfire with 30 of your closest friends, playing guitars and beating bongos. This song happens to be nothing short of that. The original version has a nice beat of its own, but the remixed version is a little more upbeat from the get-go. "Man On Fire" is just one of those feel-good songs that forces you to get up and dance, just as the lyrics encourage everyone to do.

At first listen, Matt Corby's song "Resolution" might seem like simply great background music. His voice is soothing and accompanied by great backing instrumentation. But as the song continues, it definitely builds up to an amazing piece of music. The Aussie singer will surely have a bright future, not because of his appearance on Australian Idol, but because of his timeless talents. (He's also not too bad to look at, if you ask me!)
