Soul Moving Music
Finding Inspiration in Music
I know there is music in my soul. I'd like to think that most people have their own song tucked away somewhere, deep in the recesses of their minds. If they listen, they can hear it. They can reach into the netherworld, and the luckiest ones are able to have their own brand of sweet music flow through them into our world for all of us to enjoy. They are the chosen few.
Most of the rest of us spend so much time lost in our own little worlds of turmoil and confusion and chaos and trying to kill ourselves working in order to live that we never even take the time to really meditate on anything and enjoy the beauty of life. In the process of growing up, we lose touch with the sense of wonder we had as children. It is so important to get that back. It's important to dream. It's important to choose to be happy. It's important to believe the best, to keep a positive attitude, and to enjoy what is left of this short time we have on Earth.
Sure, we may listen to music others play, but we never really tap into anything much beyond that unless we set our minds to it. Every once in a while, someone comes out with a song that people could learn so much from, if only they would listen. There is always a message hidden in music, a deeper truth seeking release into our consciousness. We have but to listen for it.
We are all connected on a very basic level, but in truth, we only have compassion when we have experienced what another is experiencing. That being said, it stands to reason that we identify with songs where the person who wrote the song is sounding to us like they are on our level. Sometimes new experiences cause us to listen to old songs differently than we did in the past. Funny how our lives can change in an instant.
I am comprising a list of the inspirational songs I encounter throughout my life. Needless to say, it is my plan to update this hub with new songs as they reach me. As the Buddhist proverb says, "When the student is ready, the teacher appears."
And so it is with all of us.
Namaste.
