Spartanburg County Woman Kills Her Boyfriend
Brittany Browning, a 30-year-old Spartanburg County woman, awaits trial at the Spartanburg County Detention Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Browning is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Deputies, from the Spartanburg County Sheriff Office , were called to Club Icon on Southport Road, in Spartanburg County, on May 27, 2018, at 3:00AM.
The sheriff deputies arrived on the scene to find the victim unconscious from one gun shot wound to the chest.
The victim was later identified as, 31-year-old, Tavis Kendrell Jeter. Jeter died at Spartanburg Medical Center just before 5:00AM.
The suspect, then 28-year-old, Brittany Tiera Browning turned herself into the Woodruff Police Department later that day.
Jeter is the father of two of Browning’s kids. Browning confessed to police that she shot Jeter during a dispute that the two were having in the club’s parking lot.
