Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood bring rock to County Music Awards
According to Hennemusic, "Steven Tyler brought down the house in Las Vegas Sunday night at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
Tyler was a surprise and unannounced guest, joining Carrie Underwood for her song Undo It before the two segued into Aerosmith's Walk This Way .
Tyler – all in white – complimented Underwood's black outfit, as the two commanded center stage with some serious swagger; Carrie even added some scarves to her microphone in a salute to the Aerosmith legend." Watch it here
I missed their performance...tuned in too late...didn't expect it to be in the first third of the show. Anyhow, I watched the next day and was completely blow away. Underwood, who is known as a country singer and has won many awards under that title, including "country singer of the year" twice, sang rock with Tyler like a pro.
One of the songs she did was her own Undo It . The version was pumped up so that when Tyler joined her they pushed it all the way...rocking it. They segued into Tyler's Walk This Way and the two of them really belted it out. I had no idea she could sing Rock like that. She is so versitile. She also does a great job on ballads, both pop and country.
Tyler was equally as fabulous. They worked really well together, giving a smashing performance. The words in Walk This Way keep asking for a little kiss, which Tyler kept trying to get from Underwood, but to no avail. Watch the video and see for yourself
