Stop Watching the "News"

Updated on May 2, 2010

Did you ever watch the news? We all have, we are all guilty of even getting sucked into it. But is it bad for us in ways we can’t even realize?

Well, the answer is YES.

News is more or less gossip; gossip is more or less a SIN! I know! I know, truth hurts but deal with it! The so called “news” speaks of death every day; they are nosey, ignorant and well paid. My own brother got accused of something he didn’t have any control over. He was plastered all over the news as a dog hater, an uncaring citizen, and I can go on. I saw my mother cry because of it.

Want to know what he did?

NOTHING! He was watching two pit bull dogs for a friend that came all the way to Ohio from Florida. He needed a friend to watch his dogs. My brother said he will. Well… He was staying with a “friend” of my moms and his girlfriend. They both didn’t like him and they both didn’t like the dogs. So someone, not sure who, decided to let them out the front door while he was not home! Needless to say, they ended up in a park and attacked a man’s little dog. I am sorry, but it’s in their nature, they are dogs! For all we know this owner of these pit bulls was mean, abusive, neglectful, ect. Well, the news made it look like they were my brothers dogs and he was the carless owner that just let them run the streets. Do you see what I am getting at?

THE NEWS IS…

%50 gossip

%25 death

%25 assumptions

And COMPLETELY FULL OF ****

If you watch the news on a daily basis, I feel sorry for you. I encourage you to stop. It makes us all worry about disease, death, and they are paid to make “stories” aka someone else’s business look “good”. They don’t even get the weather right 50% of the time! As for the sports, if your thinking “I only watch it for the sports.” Well most of us own a computer and have internet access, go to the darn sports website! If you don’t, spend 75 cents and get a paper! You can read only the sports section! I’m sorry, but they fill fear into our souls. From what not to wear, what our children are doing, rapists, and murders, money problems, disease, sex scandals and I can go on to write a book! They can’t even make up their minds about coffee and eggs! One week DON’T drink coffee, the next week, it’s suddenly good for us! Do you know what that’s called? A MARKETING SCEME! And eggs!? Every other month, there good, there bad, there good, there bad! Now, eggs and BACON should be eaten during pregnancy when 2 years ago it was forbidden! SHUT-UP! Its all bs! The most recent of their major pushes was the dreaded and deadly SWIN FLU! Let me take a moment and LMAO! I hope that you didn’t get that shot! The so called deadly flu was no more deadly then any other flu we can get in the fall season. Do you have any idea what they put in your body? Well if you’re against abortions, you just paid their way! Look up online, the ingredients in shots. You may just scare yourself to better health. I didn’t get the shot, and supposedly I had the pig flu, I felt sick, yes, but deathly ill? NO!

I’m so over the stuff! You know what causes depression!? THE NEWS! It causes doubt, fear, anxiety, and so on. I am personally prone to fear, hence, I NEVER WATCH THE JUNK! I know there is death, disease, ect. I don’t need to be reminded of it every day or see how badly people are suffering from it. Our bad emotions are what get us sick, so why would you watch something that would fill you with the worst emotions you can have!?

So try this…

If you watch the news every day, or even just a few days out of the week, STOP! Try not watching it for a week and see how you feel. My poor mother watches it everyday. She lives a fear filled depressed life. No, the news is not to blame for all of it, but it hurts her more then it helps and in my book that’s cause for a change!
