Survivor Philippines
It hasn’t been long since the first season of Survivor Philippines ended. The first one was very successful; that they already came up with the 2nd season. The audition started in Feb 26, 2009 ended March 30, 2009. During the one month audition thousands and thousands of hopefuls joined. It was not a surprise because just like in the first season they are giving away P3M (Three Million Pesos wow) tax free and of course the title of being the First Sole Survivor. More or less as of this time, they are already taping for the 2nd season. It is said to air in August 2009.
But before we get excited for the 2nd season, let us recall what had happened during the first season.
The 1st season was aired in GMA Network and was hosted by Paulo Bediones. It premiered on September 15, 2008 and ended December 12, 2008. The 18 castaways were supposed to stay in an island in Ko Tarotao, Thailand for 39 days. And if they do manage to stay for 39 days without being voted out they will be given the title as the First Sole Survivor. At first there were only two tribes which is the Naak (snake) tribe and the Jaracay (crocodile) tribe. The castaways were divided according to their gender. The female castaways composed the Naak tribe and the male castaways composed the Jaracay tribe. On Day 3 the tribes were reshuffled, some of the members of Naak were transferred to Jaracay and vice versa. On Day 19 the 10 remaining castaways in the two tribes merged as one in a new tribe called Chalam (shark).
Just like any Survivor franchises there were a lot of challenges:
Reward Challenge – The two tribes competes for whatever challenge handed by the host and the winner will receive the reward which basically were tools or food that they can use in their tribe. On the other hand the team that loses will have a punishment. Upon merging, the remaining castaways compete for the reward.
Immunity Challenge –One of the two tribes will have to pass this challenge to avoid the chance that one of them in their tribe will be voted out. Upon merging each of the remaining castaways will compete for Immunity for them not to be voted out by the rest of the tribe members. Of course in this case only one member can win the Immunity.
The castaways in order of being voted out:
1) Chevyline "Chev" Macias
