Ten "Freeze" Songs That Could Make Frozen 2 Soundtrack
The Boss Made This List With A Single From Born To Run
Frozen 2 has been red hot since its release last month, topping the box office for successive weeks. It has also made an impression on the music charts as well, the soundtrack currently ranked as the third most popular album in the United States.
In addition to the child-centered holiday songs on the double record, Frozen 2 owes part of its popularity to the contributions of several alternative pop artists. Weezer offered "Lost in the Woods" and Panic at the Disco sent "Into the Unknown", while Kacey Musgraves contributed "All Is Found."
While the current collection has some impressive tunes, I believe an even better soundtrack could be compiled using only titles that contain some form of the word Frozen. Here are ten suggestions that could certainly make for a cool soundtrack.
1. Freeze Frame by the J. Geils Band
This title track, much like the first single "Centerfold", was propelled up the charts by a fun video in rotation on MTV.
2. Raped and Freezing by Alice Cooper
Billion Dollar Babies is the home of this catchy tale, which describes a man's (mis)fortune after a successful attempt to hitchhike.
3. Tenth Avenue Freeze Out by Bruce Springsteen
Clarence Clemons really stands out on this single, second in popularity only to the title track on Born To Run.
4. Freeze by Robyn Hitchcock
Backed admirably by the Egyptians, this cut can be found on the album Gotta Let This Hen Out.
5. Frozen Man by James Taylor
His two most well-known title nouns, fire and rain, could both create and destroy the adjective that is the film.
6. . Frozen Pines by Lord Huron
The indie band included this single on their debut album, Lonesome Dreams.
7. Frozen Love by Buckingham Nicks
Before joining Fleetwood Mac, this couple included this song and the single "Without A Leg To Stand On" on their self-titled album.
8. Freezing Steel by Cat Stevens
This lyrical gem helped Catch Bull At Four reach the top spot on the Billboard album chart in 1973.
9. Freezing Hot by Pousette Dart Band
This contradictory title appears on the eclectic project's self-titled debut.
10. Deep Freeze by Judas Priest
Although it has only a couple of two line verses, this near instrumental is a highlight of the Rocka Rolla.
