The 10 Best Rachel McAdams Movies

Updated on March 30, 2015

Move over Julia Roberts, America has a new girl next door. (Which is ironic considering Rachel McAdams' Canadian roots) Rachel McAdams is one of my new favorite rom-com (romantic comedy) actresses. Ever since I saw her in the comedy, "Mean Girls" opposite Lindsay Lohan, I've been a huge fan. Although she was the girl to hate, her role in "The Notebook" changed all that as millions of women and men across America were crying for Allie and Noah.

Keep in mind, as with all my "favorites lists," this is just my personal opinion of the 10 best movies that I have enjoyed. Please enjoy the 10 best Rachel McAdams Movies!

10. Morning Glory (2010)

Short Plot: Rachel McAdams plays Becky, a young TV show producer hopeful who finally gets her break at a struggling morning show, "Daybreak." Although Becky accepts the job, the desperate situation proves to be more than she is able to handle. The sharp banter between Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton is classic. Can Becky save the show, her job, get the man and maintain her sanity?

Other Stars: Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Patrick Wilson

Rated: PG-13

IMDB rating: 6.5/10

9. Sherlock Holmes (2009)

Short Plot: Rachel McAdams in a corset and British accent? What's not to love? McAdams plays a temptress who gets intertwined in a web of murder, intrigue and magic.

Other Stars: Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law

Rated: PG-13

IMDB rating: 7.5/10

Make it a Movie Night in!

8. Wedding Crashers (2005)

Short Plot: Watch Owen Wilson, the eternal wedding-crashing playboy fall in love with our wholesome gal, Rachel McAdams in this hilarious romantic comedy. Christopher Walken as the scary father is perfection! One of my favorite summer movies.

Other Stars: Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Christopher Walken, Bradley Cooper

Rated: R

IMDB rating: 7.1/10

7. The Hot Chick (2002)

Short Plot: Rachel McAdams is the most popular girl in high-school and gets cursed to be transported into the body of a middle-aged loser. Watch Rachel change before our eyes into the sweet girl we know she is! Favorite part? McAdams "playing tricks" with her icecream cone.

Other Stars: Rob Schneider, Anna Faris

Rated: PG-13

IMDB rating: 5.4/10

Watch The Hot Chick at Home

6. The Family Stone (2005)

Other Stars: Diane Keaton, Sarah Jessica Parker, Claire Danes

Rated: PG-13

IMDB rating: 6.2/10

5. The Time Traveler's Wife (2009)

Other Stars: Eric Bana

Rated: PG-13

IMDB rating: 7.0/10

Cuddle up with The Time Traveler's Wife

4. The Vow (2012)

Short Plot: Saw this in theatres with my gal-pals. Beyond the fact that hunky Channing Tatum stars opposite McAdams, it is a great romantic tear-jerker. McAdams gets into a car accident, which erases her memory up to a certain point. She forgets who her husband is, Tatum, and has to re-learn who she is.

Other Stars: Channing Tatum

Rated: PG-13

IMDB rating: 6.5/10

Rated: PG-13

IMDB rating: 6.9/10

2. Midnight in Paris (2011)

Short Plot: Travel through time in the dark streets of Paris. The movie is centered around Owen Wilson's character, but it's a great movie nonetheless. (The costumes alone are amazing) Wilson and McAdams travel to Paris and Wilson falls in love with the city. McAdams plays the fiancée who just doesn't understand his love for the Golden Age.

Other Stars: Owen Wilson, Kathy Bates

Rated: PG-13
