The 12 Best Christmas movies ever!
The Santa Clause
Was it a miracle?
The best 12 for this season!
This of course was a tough list because some one's favorite is always left off.
Christmas movies are always fun and can bring the whole family together. After all, is there any thing more magical than Christmas?
I wanted to add -The Santa Clause 2 and Fred Clause, but they just didn't fit.
Who almost made it? The Nativity Story- 2006- Keisha Castle-Hughes - A dark but moving protrayal of how Christ was born. And Elf- 2003- Will Farrell, Bob Newhart, and James Caan- This was fun and Newheart played well off of Will Farrell.
12. Home Alone- 1990- The Role Maculhey Culkin was meant for. This was a huge Holiday misadventure!
11. A Christmas Story- 1983- Darin McGavin- A leg lamp, a bebe gun, and a frozen pole. That pretty much sums up this one!
10. National lampoon's Christmas Vacation- 1989- Chevy Chase- This is just about the funniest Christmas Movie I have ever seen! This was Randy Quade's best performance ever, and it was a must see!
9. The Santa Clause- 1994 Tim Allen- This was a lot of fun and had a few twists and turns. The side jokes were great, like most Tim Allen Movies.
8. Santa Claus- 1985- Dudley Moore- This is still a lot of fun for kids of all ages.
7. The Grinch that Stole Christmas- 1966 The Cartoon was the best! The Jim Carrey film wasn't bad, but it also wasn't top 12.
Boris Karloff, of all people, did a great job narrating this! He was given credit for the song, but that was actually Thurl Ravenscroft.
6. The Bishop's Wife- 1947 What a great year for Christmas movies!
Carey Grant, David Niven,- Grant played a ghost in this timeless classic. He was one of Hollywood's best leading men ever. This was a fun tale about love and loyalty!
5. A Christmas Carol- Many from the Dickens Society will want this higher, I saw a few that topped it.
4. The Little Drummer Boy- 1968 This was also dark but very movies. One of the best Christmas Carols and great claymation.
3. Miracle on 34th Street- 1947 - George Seaton, Maureen O'hara- The case of the man with the real beard. This wone went all the way to the highest court, and to number 3.
2.White Christmas- Bing Crosby- The music and acting were superb. this was probably Bing's best work ever.
I am sure you know what number one is because you haven't seen it yet!
Here it is...and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
1. Its a Wonderful Life- 1946 Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed. It may seem trite to place this at number one, but I can't see one that topped this!
