Synopsis: An insurance agent gets mixed up with a married woman and agrees to kill her husband for his life insurance policy, which has a double indemnity clause that pays double.
Fact: Double Indemnity is loosely based on Ruth Snyder, who was a defendant in a notorious murder trial in the 20's.
Trivia: Mr. Dietrichson's first name is never revealed.
Movie Mistake: Fred MacMurray forgot to remove his wedding ring during his first kiss scene with Phyllis and no one noticed until post production.
My Take: This is my favorite 'film noir' movie. I love the style of dialog and cinematography that gives you a dark gritty movie.
