"They was giving me ten thousand watts a day, you know, and I'm hot to trot! The next woman takes me on's gonna light up like a pinball machine and pay off in silver dollars!" - R.P. McMurphy, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)

United Artists, Rated R, 133 minutes.

Directed By: Milos Forman

Jack Nicholson - R.P. McMurphy

Louise Fletcher - Nurse Ratched

Danny DeVito - Martini

Christopher Lloyd - Tabor

Vincent Schiavelli - Fredrickson

Domestic Box Office Gross: $108,981,275

Synopsis: A rebellious mental patient battles an oppresive nurse.

Fact: Louise Fletcher had no idea that Nurse Ratchet was the most coveted role in Hollywood until a reporter told her.

Trivia: This was Christopher Lloyd's film debut.

Movie Mistake: When the patients are tossing the cigarette around, the cigarette changes sizes.

My Take: One of few films where it's completely about the performances. The acting in this film was phenomenal and it gave a few careers their start.

I almost want to agree with you BenjaminB., but I loved Nicholson as Col. Nathan R. Jessup in "A Few Good Men".

What I feel is absolutely Nicholson's best role ever. This movie has always cracked me up and reminds me of hanging out with my uncles!
