" A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti." - Hannibal Lecter, Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Directed By: Jonathan Demme

Jodie Foster - Clarice Starling

Scott Glenn - Jack Crawford

Ted Levin - Jame 'Buffalo Bill' Gumb

Anthony Heald - Dr. Fredrick Chilton

Brooke Smith - Catherine Martin

Domestic Box Office Gross: $130,742,922

Synopsis: A young FBI cadet must interview a renowned, brilliant psychopath in an attempt to find insight into, and hopefully capture a serial killer that is skinning it's victims.

Fact: The slurping sound at the end of this quote was improvised, meant as a joke and was supposed to be cut from the film until Demme realized the power of it.

Trivia: Buffalo Bill was based on three real serial killers Ed Gein, Ted Bundy and Gary Heidnick.

Movie Mistake: A young Clarice Starling has brown eyes while a grown Clarice has blue eyes.

My Take: One of three movies I've seen in my life that stayed with me for years after seeing it. It is considered a "horror" movie but for me I felt it was more of a psychological thriller because my psyche was altered after seeing it. What an amazing flick!
