Synopsis: The Godfather follows the story of the Corleone crime family through an aging Don, a hot headed son bent on revenge, another son and his rise to the top and a bloody mafia war. The Godfather is considered the ultimate mafia movie and one of the greatest film of all time.
Fact: Because of serious buzz surrounding the film, the sequel was being planned before the film was even done shooting.
Trivia: As a prank, Marlon Brando put weights under his bed making it harder for his cast mates to carry him up the stairs as he returns home from the hospital.
Movie Mistake: When Michael is telling Kay about Luca Brasi, Kay's cigarette appears and disappears while a fork jumps from the right hand to the left.
My Take: So we're at fifty daily movie quotes so I went with a big gun. This is the be all, end all of mob movies with part II and Goodfellas in a close second. This movie is just cool from the writing to the acting to the cinematography. It's a slow amazing ride that builds to a great ending.
