The Game of Thrones: Watch A Game of Thrones Online
My favorite fantasy novel series of all time is George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, wherein the first book in the series is entitled A Game of Thrones from which the HBO television series was adapted from. As of this writing, the fourth season is a few weeks away and the demand to watch A Game of Thrones online continues to rise. So in this hub I will give you useful ideas on where you can watch Game of Thrones online.
The TV series has enjoyed immense popularity and success. In fact, I loved the series so much I ended up reading all 5 books in a few weeks! The books are literally tomes but this didn’t dissuade me from reading each book cover to cover. I was sleep deprived for a few weeks but I didn't care. I just wanted to read on to find out what happened to my favorite characters - Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister.
5 reasons why you should watch the Game of Thrones online
- The storyline is simply excellent! Fantasy doesn’t get any better than Game of Thrones. Once you start to watch Game of Thrones online, you are hooked, I promise you that! I remember watching the first episode when it premiered on HBO and I vividly remember telling myself that this is THE BEST TV SERIES OF ALL TIME! I couldn’t wait to watch the next episode, and the next, and the next!
- Witty lines. Tyrion Lannister (played by Peter Dinklage) is simply the best when it comes to delivering witty, funny and sarcastic lines! When you watch a Game of Thrones online you will know that Tyrion is the smallest guy in the show who plays one of the biggest roles and overshadows some of the physically bigger characters with his lines!
- Strong characters. Okay, I admit I don’t really like the Lannisters except for Tyrion. But I have to say Cersei is one strong, cunning woman and Lena Headey (the actress who portrays Cersei) does a brilliant job! In fact, ALL of the main characters are strong. To put it simply, I’ve never seen better acting than what I’ve seen on this show!
- Be it indoor or outdoor scenes, the cinematography is brilliant and the scenery is beautiful! I have always loved reading and watching movies about Medieval times and everything about the TV series – the art, costumes, accents, horses, dragons, architecture, the entire Westeros – captures the genre perfectly!
- The TV series has been faithfully adapted from the book so if you’ve finished reading the series you already know what to expect. There will be some changes of course but from what I’ve seen in the first 3 seasons the TV storyline pretty much follows what’s already been read by millions of fans in the books!

There are sites on the Internet that offer free access to watch Game of Thrones online, however, most of these sites are dodgy and will often direct you to even more dodgy-looking third party websites. At the rate production is going on we can expect to watch Game of Thrones for many more years to come. As for the books, George R.R. Martin is expected to write two more books to complete the series. As to when this will be completed, only the author himself knows. We can only hope he writes as fast as he can.
