The Johnson Boys' Movie Review: World War Z
World War Z: 6/23/13
From A to fiZzle
Brett (36): What began as a great spin on a traditional zombie tale, left something to be desired at the end. We followed Brad Pitt (I'm still better looking) as he travelled around the world chasing the disease to it's origin, which was both captivating and exciting. However, after investing in his successes (and failures) we are provided little satisfaction in its closure.
Cole (9): Kick Ass!...I told him he couldn't say that, but he did anyway. (Spoiler) My favorite part was when the guy injected himself with the antidote and just walked past all of the zombies like he wasn't there. Like an invisibility cloak or something. Wish I had one, it was really cool.
Trent (4): No squirm factor here. Left Trent at home for this one. Not sure how I would explain to the Department of Health and Family Services (or his mother) why I took a small child to a zombie movie.
Overall: 8 (out of 10) Despite what I deem as a lackluster finish, this movie had Cole and I riveted (and cheering on a couple of occasions.) Definitely need to catch this one while it's out!
