The Magic World of Mushrooms

I have always been fascinated by mushrooms. As a child, I remember my mother forbidding me to touch them because she said they were poisonous and, indeed, some of them are. But they always caught my eye and piqued my interest and imagination, as they strike me as Nature's magical, tiny shelters, somehow. In the woodlands of Maryland and on the farm in Pennsylvania, I have encountered a few that I photographed and would like to share. I hope you enjoy!
