The Sexy and Talented LL Cool J

Updated on April 22, 2012

HELLO MY NAME IS TRIPLET MOM AND I AM OBSESSED!

Yes I am here at Obsessions Anonymous and I am willing and able to admit proudly that I am obsessed with LL Cool J. You see I understand that I am a grown woman, a mother and a wife but there is that twinge deep down inside that makes me go crazy at the look or thought of this incredibly diverse and sexy man. This has been a life long obsession (well since I was about 15 years old). The mere sight of his sexiness sends me quickly into school girl status. You might wonder why I am so obsessed by this man but taking a quick look at that face, those lips and that body should be enough to understand. However, there is so much more to LL Cool J than just his looks; he is a rapper, an actor, a writer, a family man, and an entrepreneur to name just a few.

I was 15 when I heard my first LL Cool J song Rock The Bells. I had never seen the man but I knew at that time that I liked the music; it was a short time later that I saw the Movie Krush Groove and had to know more about who this LL Cool J person was because he was a cutie. A few years later and I heard I Need Love and it was over, my crush was in full force. I was not quite obsessed but I was definitely headed in that dangerous direction down that slippery slope. Then when I was about 18 or 19 his third album came out Walking with a Panther and although it was not a commercial success (some consider it his worst album ever) I enjoyed such songs as Going Back to Cali and Big Ole Butt. I was at college at this time going to the University of California at Santa Barbara (Go Gauchos!). I knew LL Cool J had a new album coming out and I waited with baited breath to buy it. When I got Mama Said Knock You Out I listened to it all day everyday for about two weeks (annoying my roommates the whole time but not caring).

After those two weeks I took a trip with one of my roommates to Los Angeles to see family and to have some fun. While in LA my girlfriend and I decided to go to the Hard Rock Café mainly because I had never been and thought it would be kind of fun and a bit nostalgic. When we got to the restaurant there was a bit of a wait because it was really busy. My roommate and I were discussing whether we should leave because it was taking way too long, that was until my roomy says to me “Don’t you know that guy over there with the hat on?” I looked over to the area she was talking about and could only see the back of the person’s head who was standing about 40 feet away from us but it didn’t matter I knew exactly who it was and I immediately started to hyperventilate. It was after all LL Cool J in the flesh right here right now and right in front of me. Worse yet I was freaking out and he was walking right toward us. I must have looked like a total lunatic because he stopped right in front of me smiled with those dimples and said, “Hello”. I melted freaked out and said “Hello” right back but for some reason it came out in a very loud voice as if he wouldn’t be able to hear me. I felt so silly as if I had totally lost myself in that moment. We talked for a little bit nothing major or even memorable and at that moment my obsession would grow full force and it would not help that I would go to his concert shortly there after. I would kick myself later for not doing something different when I first met him and missing out on the chance of a lifetime but that would change a few months later when I would run into him again. Twice!?! Impossible! I mean even lightening doesn’t strike the same place twice but now I understand that this world is truly small. This time I was in LA again but at a different venue. Again we came face to face and again he stopped right in front of me, however this time I was much more pulled together and tried to act like he was an old friend even though the butterflies in my stomach were coming through my throat. I was shocked and thrilled that he remembered me and we were able to talk some more. These experiences I will never forget even though they were years ago. They are still incredibly special to me.

Meeting LL Cool J furthered enforced my crush because he is completely down to earth and a very nice guy. LL Cool J loves his fans and seems to be a people person wanting to talk to and learn about his fans simply because they want to know about him.

I still have those silly school feelings that are uncontrollable. I try to act as mature as possible although sometimes I will let out in a scream of joy at the sight of him without his shirt on. Hey it is an obsession and he is LL Cool J what can I say I am a Lady and Ladies Love Cool James.
