Kajol is an Indian Actress known for her outstanding performance in Movies. She is also known for her on screen chemistry with actor Shahrukh Khan with whom she gave 6 super hit movies. She is one of the best actresses of the industry and has won several Awards including the Padma Shri in 2011, from the Government of India for her contribution to Indian Cinema. She was also the first Indian actress to win an Award for performance in Negative role.
Born on 5th August 1974 to actress Tanuja and Shomu Mukherjee in Mumbai, she made her Bollywood debut at the age of 17 in a film called Bekhudi (1992). Though this picture was a Box office failure, the performance of the actress was appreciated. Kajol is a fourth generation actress (Her mother Tanuja, maternal aunt Nutan, maternal grandmother Shobhna Samarth and maternal great grandmother Rattan Bai were actresses). Kajol’s sister Tanisha and cousins Mohnish Behl (Nutan’s son) and Rani Mukherjee are also part of the film world. Kajol’s father late Shomu Mukherjee was a noted film producer.
Kajol married Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan on February 24, 1999. The couple has two children, a daughter named Nysa (born in 2003) and a son named Yug (born in 2010). Kajol Devgn is a good friend of Karan Johar and appeared on the first episode of Koffee with Karan along with Shahrukh Khan. She also won 1 crore rupees along with her husband Ajay Devgan on Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan which was donated to a cancer hospital in Chennai in the year 2005.

In Dushman, Kajol played the role of twins, the crop-haired Sonia Sehgal and the long-haired Naina Sehgal.
