Madhuri Dixit - Filmography and Family

Madhuri Dixit Nene is one of the most beautiful Actresses of India. I have a special liking for this actress not only because I was compared to her by a fellow writer on Triond in his article on me ‘Anamika, it means nameless’ but also because we share the same birthday (May 15) and zodiac signs (Taurus).

Madhuri Shankar Dixit was born to Shankar and Snehlata Dixit of a Marathi Brahmin family in the year 1967. She made her Bollywood debut with the film Abodh in the year 1984 which unfortunately was a box-office disaster. Madhuri Dixit is a trained dancer and has many hit dance numbers in movies to her credit. Madhuri Dixit was also one of the muses of the famous Indian painter M.F. Husain who made a series of paintings of her and a film named Gaja Gamini starring her. Madhuri Dixit is the winner of several Awards including the prestigious Padma Shri by the Government of India.
