#10 The Classic Crime

The Classic Crime is a Rock band based in Seattle Washington. After being musicians for over a decade, you would think a band has started to figure out who they are, what they sound like, and the audience they appeal to. This is definitely not the case for The Classic Crime. Every album they have released has shown a new aspect of their extreme talent. One of their most popular albums was the acoustic-sounding Seattle Sessions EP. After launching a kickstarter that got the band more than 300% of their needed goal, the band plans to release a Volume 2 of the Seattle Sessions. This is something to look forward to no matter what background of music you come from. Definitely take the time to research The Classic Crime.

#9 Remedy Drive

Remedy Drive has gone through lots of ups and downs in their short life as a band. Starting off, the band was composed of four brothers. After rocking for a few years, three of the members decided they would like to spend more time with their families and take a break from the touring lifestyle. This left lead singer David Zach with the task of bringing in a whole new band. As terrible of a circumstance as this may seem, the new band released Resuscitate (2012) and has never shined brighter. The album is composed of gorgeous lyrics and great rhythms. We couldn't have asked for more. Also, you will never see a band put more into a stage performance than these guys. There is so much movement on stage, it is impossible to not go crazy as a fan in the crowd. Definitely keep an eye on this band in the next few years. They could easily rise to the top of the charts as a band.

#8 We As Human

There is no band like We As Human. This hard rock band provides us with a unique sound including some of the best guitar riffs out there, and some of the most meaningful lyrical meanings you can find anywhere, not just in the Christian market. They've only released one album and one EP. Your expectations should be extremely high for this band. They incorporated John Cooper, lead singer of Skillet, and Lacey Sturm, former lead singer of Flyleaf, into their last album. Who knows what they can do with those kind of connections. It wouldn't be surprising if this band ends up competing with bands like RED or Skillet for the top hard rock artist. Watch We As Human in the next few years and be looking for their next album. It's sure to exceed out expectations.

#7 The Almost

The Almost is bringing back a lost art. The hard rock band from Florida recorded their newest release, Fear Inside Our Bones, in one live performance in the studio. Very few artists have the talent to be able to record any live performance they play and put it on an album; but, The Almost is one of them. Their lead singer, Aaron Gillespie, is an extremely intelligent man who knows how to relate to people through his music. He also releases worship music as a solo artist. If you love the state of Florida, and love rock music, Fear Inside Our Bones is the album for you. Make sure to support this band that still plays as part of a dying breed. This art can come back because of this band alone. Their talent is incredible.

#6 Family Force 5

Family Force 5 lost their lead singer Solomon Olds, also known as Soul Glow Activatur, just this year. While you would think this could be the end of a great band, it could actually blossom into something great! FF5 is known for their ability to create music that can't be categorized. Every song they put out sounds completely different than the last; the one thing you can count on is quality. It is very difficult to find one of their songs that you really don't like. If you had to categorize their music, it would be something between punk, rock, hip-hop, and reggae. Now that Jacob Olds, or Crouton, is the new lead singer, we should expect the band to move closer to the dance music genre. We should still see the old style of a FF5 who is constantly break the boundaries of what Christian music is thought to be, but we should start to see a new side of them as well. It is rumored that they will be releasing a new album in early 2014, so we should all be looking forward to that to get a better idea of where the band is headed. Watch this video of one of their new songs said to be on the new album:

#5 Royal Tailor

Royal Tailor is a band known for their style. Tauren Wells, the lead singer, has an incredible voice that sounds similar to the king of pop, Michael Jackson. The band is great at supplying diverse sounds and creates a concert environment that promotes involvement of the audience. Their last album incorporated the iconic artist Toby Mac. The future is definitely looking up for this band. It wouldn't be surprising if their next album tops the charts. Make sure you are following this band.

#4 Nations

Not a lot of people have heard of the band Nations. That's because they used to run under the name Above the Golden State. They changed the name because their sound has changed from before. Nations just released a new, self-titled album that is prominently worship; however, these worship songs are incredibly powerful and unique to the band. Their vocalist, Michael Watson, has a heart for God and it is shown throughout the album. It is exiting to see the change that this band has gone through and the future can only bring more incredible music. If you love good worship music, check out there latest album and stay tuned in to their website to hear about new releases.

#3 Hawk Nelson

A few years ago Hawk Nelson lost their lead singer, Jason Dunn. Many people thought that losing this iconic face to the band would eventually be their downfall. Also, their last album with Jason Dunn was one of their least popular albums in the last 10 years. Where could this band go with what they had left? Up. Jon Steingard took over as the lead singer and the band became a trio. Their new album exceeded everyone's expectations. The single "Words" has been on the top Christian radio charts for over months and songs like "A Million Miles Away" and "Elevator" bring back memories of the talent that this band possesses. We should all be exited at how well the band has moved on from their trials and look forward to what's in store for the future.

#2 Icon For Hire

Icon For Hire is a hard rock band with a female lead singer. This band has broken so many records it is ridiculous. What makes it better, they only just released their SECOND album! Also, this newly released album is undoubtedly the best album of the year from any Christian band. They are so good at taking sounds you already know and twisting them to make them even better. "If your happy and you know it clap your hand like this, cause the rest of us are wondering what on earth we missed." Ariel Bloomer knows how to create and sing lyrics that are going to attract both the Christian and secular crowds. This new album also showed how talented their instrumentalists are as well. Be watching this band. It wouldn't be surprising if they continue to break records from here on out and really show us what Christian music can be!

#1 Needtobreathe

If you're wondering why we have Needtobreathe as our number one pick, then you need to do some research. This band has the more talent than any band in the Christian OR secular market. Lead singer, Bear Rinehart, is the best vocalist you could ever imagine. Their lyrics are extremely meaningful and their stage performance is outrageously organic and heartfelt. You know that the band cares so much about what they do. Recently they released a film about their adventure to where they are now. In this film, you see arguments, fist fights, people quitting, and more; but, the band continues to press on. The passion these guys possess can only be explained through their faith, and it seeps through the seams of their music. If you are looking for a band that will really blow you away in the next few years, follow Needtobreathe. They will never disappoint their fans. Check out one of their music videos from their album The Reckoning:
