Joween identifies himself as a closet otaku. In general, he'll write anime stuff, but sometimes, he'll go over writing tech & random stuff.

I know the feeling of being bored to death. So, here I'm helping find some good anime to watch to relieve your boredom. Basically, this list gives you ideas of what anime should you watch if you figuring out what to watch. As with my other articles, this listing has no hierarchy, and you can add your favorite or recommended anime in the comments after you've read the hub.

So, to start here is.

1. Chuunibyou Demo Koi Shitai! (Love, Chuunibyou & Other Delusions!)

"Chuunibyou" translates as the 8-grade syndrome, a stage where middle-schoolers or adolescents, gets very delusional, thinking they portray magic powers. The story revolves around Takanashi Rikka, a cute girl with that syndrome, even carrying it to high school and then meets Togashi Yuuta, an ex-sufferer, which he promised to himself, that he would forget his shameful past. But, Rikka changes his plans, and they even fall in love with each other.

If you are a RomCom Anime fan, I recommend this for you.

  • Season 1: 13 Episodes
  • Season 2: 12 Episodes
  • Movie: 1 (A Recap of Season 1)

2. Nisekoi (Fake Love)

The story revolves around Ichijou, Raku, the only son of the Yakuza Family called the Shueigumi. Ten years ago, he made a promise to a girl. But he doesn't remember it now. As he struggles to remember his past, he met a girl named Kirisaki, Chitoge, a half Japanese-American, which later she addresses as gorilla woman because of her stubbornness in interacting with Raku. Then, with a weird turn of events, Raku's father, and Chitoge's dad decided to make them a couple. Raku and Chitoge try their best to pretend as lovers.

For me, this anime is unique, because it has this very creative animating style. And I also recommend this for RomCom Lovers.

  • Season 1: 24 Episodes
  • Season 2 12 Episodes
  • OVA: 4 Episodes

3. Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)

Attack on Titan is a story of Yeager, Eren, a slightly stubborn boy which dreamed of killing a Titan, a giant human-like creature that has always reeked havoc in humans. But in 100 years Titans became silent and had not been seen. One day, a mysterious colossal Titan suddenly appeared and destroyed on their city walls. Together with a friend, Eren and Mikasa Ackerman witnessed their mother eaten alive. Eren decided to kill every Titan after that, with his another friend Arlert Armin.

Some of you might have already seen this anime, as this anime is very popular and even won an award for best animation. I recommend this anime for action lovers.

  • Season 1: 25 Episodes
  • Season 2: Confirmed. Scheduled for 2017.
  • OVA: 3 Episodes

4. Sukitte Ii na yo (Say "I Love You")

Mei Tachibana, a non-typical high school girl, a loner, and doesn't have any friends. She turned out this way because of an accusation of her friends during her elementary school. She bound to herself that she will not have any friends, as they will turn into her someday, but this scheme was changed when she meets Yamato Kurosawa, a popular guy in their school. Yamato suddenly realizes something very unexpected and battle odds to protect his feelings for Mei.

I recommend this anime for Drama, RomCom lovers.

  • Season 1: 13 Episodes

5. Toradora

Ryuuji Takasu and Taiga Aisaka had both of their crushes (Minori Kushieda - for Ryuuji, Yuusaku Kitamura - for Taiga) as their classmate and close friends. Taiga has been flagged as "Palmtop Tiger" because of her attitude despite her height. Ryuuji, in contrary, has been feared throughout their school as he inherited the face of his famous father. As they discovered their secrets, they agreed to help each to mutually support each other to get close to their crushes. Strange turn of events gets the story very interesting and very fun to watch.

I would also recommend this to RomCom lovers.

  • Season 1: 26 Episodes

6. Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in the Summer)

Kaito Kirishima, a boy who is a fan of making things with his old camera. One night while testing his camera, a streak of light suddenly send him launching into the air. On the morning, he found himself in his house like nothing happened. In the school, he met Ichika Takatsuki, a transfer student with a noticeable red hair. Through the initiative of his friend Tetsuro Ishigaki, they agreed to create a movie together with Ichika, Mio Kitahara, Remon Yamano, and Kanna Tanigawa. They begin filming in summer, but with a quick turn of events, something happened, revealing a secret. Together they battle the odds, which might destroy their friendship.

Youto Yokodera, a self-proclaimed pervert with a desire of swimsuits and boobs. Strangely, he wanted everybody to acknowledge his lustful thoughts, in other words, he wanted, to be honest. He learns about a cat that grants wishes from his friend Ponta. In the scene when he wishes to the cat, he met Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi, a cute girl with a desire of eliminating her emotions to keep her sister Tsukushi Tsutsukakushi, by her side. In a funny turn of events, Youto has later been flagged as the "Hentai Prince." Youto then realized that he has a great trouble if his incapability to lie on. Tsukiko then helped Youto to find a person who obtained his lost trait, to cancel the wish.

This anime makes me laugh. Tsukiko's incapability to make emotions make the story adorable and funny. Recommended for the romantic comedy and harem lovers.

Sorata Kanda, a boy with an unconditional love for cats transfers to Sakurasou, a dormitory for problem students in his school, as a punishment of bringing cats in his previous school dormitory. His teacher suddenly orders him to meet Mashiro Shiina, a cute girl with a mysterious, out of this world personality. As the story progresses, Sorata later knew that Shiina is a brilliant and a very know artist. Sakorasou's residents, Ryuunosuke Akasaka, Jin Mitaka, and Misaki Kamiigusa joined Sorata and Shiina's path to the development of the story.

Shino and Aria are the ones with sex on their minds, while Suzu and Tsuda are the proper ones. Every time Shino or Aria tells a dirty joke one or the two of them reacts. EZ Swim Fitness, such a long comment, but so easy to remember. And I will promise that I will be creating more great hubs that may inspire, and teach others but before that, I would prioritize the restoration of my old files and apps :)

      Thanks you liked it :)

Fascinating hub for a new generation. I greatly enjoyed hearing about this and your ending is superb. I like the idea of Anime being an inspiration but we set our own course. To quote Mark Twain:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

      Mark Twain quotes

Keep on hubbing, plow through the challenges of computer crashes and life's other demands. So glad you are here.

Attack on Titan kinda had a dull mid series, I can't totally agree with that choice.
