Thanks for sharing these tunes! I'm also a sucker for love songs. My favorite is "Love Song" from the Broadway musical "Pippin".

To think that folks would play Whitney's song at a wedding, when it is actually a good-bye song. I guess they just like her voice. Anyway, although the songs are mostly unfamiliar to me, I appreciate your presentation. Thanks to you, I now know what the songs are about. Voted Up!

My choice among these songs is easy: Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You." One thing that makes that such an easy choice is that it's the only one on the list I've ever heard.

Always love a well written heartbreaking love song. Great list! A recent hit that gets me every time is "Say Something" by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera and the classic "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word" by Elton John.

Considering the tragic circumstances surrounding her untimely death, Whitney Houston gets my vote.
