Top 100 Movies - A Tribute
This tribute to the movies was written using IMDB's list of the 100 top movies as of 2010. There are other lists available and each one varies a bit, but many of the movies appear on every list, changing only slightly in order, making them perpetual classics.

Reel Life
The prisoners of Shawshank sought Redemption from The Godfather. A consultation was held with the second Godfather which led to the discovery of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly from the many volumes of Pulp Fiction on Schindler's List. The confrontation led to 12 Angry Men, but only One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and out into The Dark Knight. The remainder were dismayed to find that As the Empire Strikes Back and heads to Casablanca, the Star Wars continue.

The Godfather

Back at the palace, The Return of the King was accompanied by The Seven Samurai. The warriors were determined to be Good Fellows as they were viewed through the Rear Window on their trek into the City of God.

The Raiders of the Lost Ark joined the Fight Club and The Fellowship of the Ring as Once Upon a Time in the West, the Usual Suspects were rounded up. They pointed the finger at the Psycho from The Silence of the Lambs who was last seen on Sunset Boulevard making his way through the Matrix as he carried a Momento from his last meal. Dr. Stangelove learned to stop worrying and love the bomb as he traveled North By Northwest and reminisced, It's a Wonderful Life. He then climbed The Two Towers with Citizen Kane.

The Professional spoke about Apocalypse Now comparing it to an American Beauty he once knew and blaming it on American History X. He claimed it was the Taxi Driver's fault along with his accomplice, Forrest Gump. Vertigo became a troublesome problem for Lawrence of Arabia as he looked Up and discovered WALL-E hanging out with those Inglorious Basterds. They claimed victory leads to Paths of Glory and an evening with Amelie.

It was Double Indemnity for the Alien M who would eventually face Judgment Day for his evil plan To Kill A Mockingbird. But he was saved from death row for his valiant attempt at Saving Private Ryan from an untimely death at the hands of A Clockwork Orange.

The Shining gold from The Treasure of the Sierra Madre was bright enough to blind The Departed treasure hunters. They were forced to leave behind The Third Man and The Pianist as they went to destroy The Lives of Others in Chinatown. The treasure was Spirited Away and concealed by the City Lights with the help of the Aliens who used it to create Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The discovery was kept L.A. Confidential and safe, and the city held a Requiem for a Dream to celebrate.

It was a real tragedy when Das Boot was chewed up and devoured by the Reservoir Dogs. They were discovered living under The Bridge On the River Kwai, protecting Monty Python and the Holy Grail from Pan's Labyrinth. The Raging Bull was sent away and ordered to learn All About Eve and The Maltese Falcon before he could return. He was warned: Don't become A Slumdog Millionaire.

While Singin' In the Rain in District 9, Rashomon reminisced about Modern Times finding Some Like it Hot in The Prestige. Rebecca during her Downfall stole a Gran Torino and drove it to the Cinema Paradiso to listen to a concert by Amadeus. She fell asleep during the intermission and dreamed about 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Singin' in the Rain

Despite his lot in life, The Elephant Man believes Life is Beautiful even in Metropolis which is ruled by The Great Dictator. This beauty could be seen Once Upon a Time in America if you traveled Back to the Future far enough.

Dressed in a Full Metal Jacket The Bicycle Thief watches as Mr. Smith Goes to Washington to witness The Sting. He was then asked to take part in The Great Escape and embrace his Brave Heart.
