Top 5 Anime Shows You Should Binge Watch
1. Erased
Where to Watch: Hulu
Sub or Dub: BOTH
Episodes: 12 (one season)
My Thoughts: Wow oh wow, this whole series gave me some feels and kept me on my toes the whole way through. If you are looking for a mystery, thriller, and a touch of fantasy, this is the series for you. Not only that but it gives you so many twists you would never have seen coming. I binged this within a few days and really recommend it to anyone and anyone who wants to start watching anime. It really moves away from the 'typical' anime most people think of, with a really good plot, a really good story, and characters that stick with you. There is, of course, the one downside of the show, with one character I don't think contributes too much to the show, it could have done well without them, but it it's a big enough of an issue that will make me dislike the whole show. I will give the warning, as some people might be triggered by it, there is: talk of, evidence of, and visuals of ABUSE.

2. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
Where to Watch: Hulu
Sub or Dub: Sub only
Episodes: 11 (one season)
My Thoughts: This show is based off and inspired by real events that happened in Japan after their earthquake so it isn't one to be taken lightly. It is far more serious show than most and will definitely take an emotional toll on you. I felt emotionally drained every now and then with the show and it was quite realistic to the point where you just need to keep watching. I will admit that I cried in many of the episodes. Anyone looking for something will 'feels' or something to make you cry, this is the anime for you. You get attached to some of the characters and although some might come off as annoying if really gives you a good perspective of what it's like to be a child in the midst of a disaster. The end is what really got to me and my heart broke when it ended so, although I really recommend this anime, I suggest you bring along the tissues.

3. Aggretsuko
Where to Watch: Netflix
Sub or Dub: Dub
Episodes: 10 (one season)
My Thoughts: If you haven't already heard the praise for this darling show, you will hear it from me right now. A wonderful cutesy looking anime that takes a very realistic and relatable experience and makes it entertaining and humorous. It is such a wonderful anime and it's appearance makes it even better. You'll find yourself identifying with any one of the characters and really getting invested in the main character and her life and life choices. It's like watching a friends life and you frustratingly feel bad for them and want to intervene, but one must remember it's just a show. It really deals with experiences you may have experienced or recognize and it's so entertaining, I suggest it for anyone who might feel pretty busy because the episodes are also so short, only 15 minutes long!

4. Little Witch Academia
Where to Watch: Netflix
Sub or Dub: Dub
Episodes: 25 (two seasons)
My Thoughts: Definitely falls under a cutesy magical girl type anime. I loved the story, the magic, and the friendships. I think it's a great family watch or sibling watch as well you want to watch it with someone else. The characters can grow on you, though personally, the main character is little pushy for my taste, but it's the mark of a magical fantasy trope for these types of animes. I think both seasons do a good job with the character relationships and their stories, each season has its own story going on they are both well written. I recommend it highly if you want something that feels less serious than the ones aforementioned.
Bio: ""when an excited Akko finally sets off to her new school, the trip there is anything but smooth. After her perilous journey, she befriends the shy Lotte Yansson and the sarcastic Sucy Manbavaran. To her utmost delight, she also discovers Chariot's wand, the Shiny Rod, which she takes as her own. Unfortunately, her time at Luna Nova will prove to more challenging than Akko could ever believe. She absolutely refuses to stay inferior to the rest of her peers, especially to her self-proclaimed rival, the beautiful and gifted Diana Cavendish, so she relies on her determination to compensate for her reckless behavior and ineptitude in magic."" - My Anime List Description
5. Claymore
Where to Watch: Hulu
Sub or Dub: Dub Only
Episodes: 26 (one season)
My Thoughts: My only negative thoughts on this show are that it is not continued despite having a sort of cliffhanger, the long torsos are a personal dislike, and that it's a lot of the same attacks. This show is a fantasy and reminiscent of moves that you might find in an RPG game and other fantasy fight calls that you might find in other animes. Otherwise, the concept was quite interesting and you slowly get to see the character change and face her demons...quite literally. I do believe there is a twist closer to the end of the series but there is build up for it so you might be able to figure it out or pick up on it as the series goes on. It still makes for a good series though if you don't mind the cliffhanger, it is a manga so you could always go and find that if you want to find out more, but it isn't so bad as to feel like it's ripping you off.
