Top 5 Best TV Series I Watched

Updated on December 26, 2017

I love watching movies and series especially Comedy, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, RomCom, a little bit of Action and Drama.

Different kind of taste

I watch series just to kill time. I'm not that kind of guy who is dedicated to watch series. I watch these series to enjoy, to feel good, to laugh, etc. This list are series that I watch. I know you will say that this series are not that good, but for me it's quite good and they're not that heavy to be not understand. Because I like those series that are light and easy to understand with a pinch of comedy in it.

So here is the list of best series that i watched.

2 Broke Girls
2 Broke Girls

Max's Homemade Cupcakes

2 broke girls is a series about 2 broke girls! Ha-ha! Actually that sums it up.

Nah. Actually there's more than that. It’s a story of two girls – the full of fun, independent girl, Max and the sophisticated, born rich girl who is now as poor as a rat, Caroline.

The series started as Max and Caroline bumping to each other then eventually becoming roommates. Then the relationship grows and they are now best friends. They vow to each other that they will launch a successful business – a cupcake business.

They are working in a restaurant as waitresses, while managing the cupcake business at the back room of the diner. Also, Max enrolled herself in Manhattan School of Pastry to enhance her baking skills, while Caroline works at there too so that Max’s tuition will be paid.

2 Broke Girls is a feel-good TV series for me. It gives me good vibes and this series is not deep for me to intake. It just makes me laugh and forget all problems. Another thing that I like in this series is that it keeps a record for how much they earn at every end of the episode. At the very first episode they already stated their goal of $25,000 that’s why they tally their earnings every episode. That’s a new concept for me.

Once Upon A Time
Once Upon A Time

Magic Is Coming.

I was excited about these series because I read that all fairy tale characters will come alive. They will retell the fairy tale stories that we grew up on. Then when I watched it, I was so shock. This series is so epic, all fairy tale characters and stories have been tied together. They drew connections on every character. I also found it very dark that they make the story a bit mature. Memes will call it “childhood ruined” because they alter every childhood stories and create another one that is not so child-friendly.

The story is set on Storybrooke. It might be an ordinary place but little do they know that the people living in this place are actually the people that are living on the fairy tale stories. A curse was put upon them making them forget about who they really are. The main protagonist in this movie is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. She was the one who will lift the curse and will save them all and defeat the evil step mother of her mother.

I like how the writer connect every fairy tale characters and creating a whole new story that is good enough and very entertaining.

The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory

I know that this is a comedy series, but sometimes I don't understand their jokes. But still I enjoy watching it and putting it on the third spot.

The Big Bang Theory is one of the smartest (literally) comedy series that I've watched. All main characters are smart, nerd, scientist, engineer, and geek except for 1 blond waitress.

The story circles around a group of young, socially awkward, scientist/physicist/engineer – Leonard, Sheldon, Raj and Howard – meeting a young blonde woman, who recently moved just across the hall from Leonard and Sheldon’s apartment. The girl, Penny, is a waitress and an aspiring actress. The story begins when the nerds befriended Penny and then eventually Leonard falling for her.

I like how the story turns, an awkward nerd getting a sexy blonde girl. Also I like it how the humor goes. It is actually not the usual humor thing because some of the jokes are kinda smart and geek jokes. You wouldn’t know that it is a joke if there are no “laugh” sound effects.

Breaking Bad
Breaking Bad

[Br] [Ba]

“A Chemistry genius turned high school chemistry teacher teams up with a student to cook the purest crystal meth in the world. “

He was diagnosed with a stage three cancer that is why he decided that he has nothing to lose and that his family should be left with something after he die, So he teamed up with his ex-student to create drugs and sell it.

The cool thing with this series is that it is another work of a genius. Who would've thought that a High School Chemistry teacher will be the one cooking the purest crystal meth in the world? It's amazing how the chemical equation were actually checked by a true scientist. The main characters also portrays their role so great that every episode made it very much enjoyable to watch.

It is the first crime drama series that I was hooked up. I know other crime drama series but I never watched it religiously. But when my friend introduce Breaking Bad to me, I started liking it and then I became hooked to it.

How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother

It's gonna be legend-... wait for it... and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the second half of that word is DAIRY!

Yeah! It's gonna be LEGEN ...... wait for it..... DARY!

A sitcom that is a story about how Ted, an architect, searches for the woman of his dreams, with the help of his best friends, Marshall, Lily, Barney and Robin.

Funny how the series runs 9 years and the only thing that the story focuses is "how Ted meet his wife". Which turned out to be very long and the only season where the "mother" was introduced was the last part. [SPOILER ALERT!!] Unfortunately, she eventually died and then Ted courts Robin again, like he courted her before.

It was a great series for me because I learned several things about this series:

  • Everything happens for a reason - why Ted was left at the altar, why Robin and Barney's marriage did not last long, all those things happen reason.
  • Everyone needs a friend - obviously, because no man is an island. We need friends to guide as and help us when we are in need. They are our second family.
  • Mistakes aren't that bad! - we are not perfect so mistakes are a part of our lives. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, it's how we become stronger, by learning on to our mistakes.
  • People can actually change - but will eventually turned back. That's with the case of Barney. He changed then turned back doing wrong things and when he knocked up a woman and having a baby with her he then change again and that's for good.
  • And others like the Bro Code, nothing really good happens after 2 AM, make every minute counts, Canadians are afraid of the dark, Ted stories are very long, new is always better and a lot more!

Other TV series that I watch:

  • Awkward (Season 1 - 3)
  • Glee (Season 1 - 5)
  • Baby Daddy (Season 1 -3)
  • Teen Wolf (Season 1)
  • Shameless (Season 1)
  • Misfits (Series 1-3)

UPDATE: As of today(April 10, 2016), I will be adding more series that I love to watch. I think the top 5 series I wrote above will be replaced, not all but some of those will be replaced.

#5: Still 2 Broke Girls - I still love watching these two girls getting in trouble, doing what they are good at, juggling life, etc. I love laughing while watching this series.

#4: The Flash & Supergirl - The 2 DC superhero series is the new addition to the list. I got hooked just watching the first episode of these two series. Both have depicted the superheroes very good that is why they always have a good review. I am very looking forward at every new episodes of these series.

#3 Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Yeah! Another one of those comic inspired series but now it is from the one that introduced us Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Ant Man, Thor etc. - MARVEL! This series has some light tone it in like how the movies are depicted. It packed with action and some comic relief in the side. I guarantee you that you will definitely love this series.

#2 How I Met Your Mother - I know it was my number 1 most favorite series that I watched, but that was when I didn't know it was some kind of an updated version of the series I put in the number 1 spot. I still love the hopeless romantic Ted, very epitome of love and marriage Marshall & Lily, the Bro Code Master Barney and the ever hardworking news anchor Robin. But nothing beats (TAKE NOTE: for me) the one and only #1 spot.

#1 F.R.I.E.N.D.S - I knew of this series since 2000 I think, but I just watched it last 2015 and I never thought that some or most of the episodes of How I Met Your Mother was patterned to the series (TAKE NOTE: again! this is just my opinion). I knew it was an old series but the story and the lessons it partake was solid! I love this awesome team!

I still love Once Upon A Time and Breaking Bad, but I got to say good bye, you two are evicted to my TOP FIVE!

The list above is just how I perceive it. If you have any reactions, comment, and suggestions, feel free to comment about it below. Don't hesitate. Let me know if there are things I need to improve or whatsoever.

Thank you for reading my entries! :)

I watch most of your top five shows. Comedies are fun because they lighten you up and put you in a good mood. Nice article.

We watch none of the same series. At least we prove that people do have individual tastes.
