Top 5 Movies You Must See Before Avengers: Endgame

I have watched all of the Marvel movies leading to to the end. These are what I think can give you the most information.

1. Avengers: Infinity War

Watching this movie before the very end is a given. There would be no point in watching the end if you've never even seen the beginning. Although Avengers Infinity war is not the very beginning of the series, it definitely is a must watch. Not to mention that if you watch Avengers: Endgame before watching Avengers: Infinity War, you're going to be completely confused as to why everyone is doing exactly what they're doing. Ultimately, Avengers: Endgame is a reaction to the events that happened in Avengers: Infinity War.

2. Guardians Of The Galaxy

You're definitely going to want to watch Guardians of the Galaxy in order to understand who Thanos is and where some of the stones came from. If you've never seen a single Guardians of the Galaxy movie, you are going to be extremely confused as to the relationship between Thanos and his two daughters along with the relationship between the two daughters themselves. Also, it's just important to know who the big villain is in the first place and why he wants to do what he wants to do. You're not going to get an absolutely perfect picture of who Thanos is but you will definitely get a great idea of how powerful he is. I suggest watching both Guardians of the Galaxy movies because it'll help you understand certain references in the last two Avengers movies.

3. Avengers: Age of Ultron

This movie is primarily important because it brings to light another one of the stones and understanding where that stone came. It also will bring light to why Thanos came to Earth in the first place especially if you stay till the end credits to see the famous credit scenes. Also, there are some characters that are introduced in Avengers Age of Ultron that you don't get any other formal introduction for in any other movie. This is important to understand the abilities of those characters and their motivation to not like Thanos.

4. Doctor Strange

This might be one of the most important movies for you to see before you watch Avengers: Endgame because Dr. Strange is, in fact, one of the most important characters of the story. It would be incredibly difficult to understand exactly what is happening if you don’t even know who Doctor Strange is. Once again, this movie reveals yet another one of the stones. More importantly, it reveals one of the most important stones that contributes to the end. This movie also introduces other characters that you're not going to get a formal introduction for later on in the movies. It may not seem like it now but understanding who these characters are and what their motivations are is very important in following the story.

5. Thor: Ragnarok

This movie is primarily important because we all want to know what the heck happened to Thor. In other words, why does he look the way he looks in Avengers: Infinity war and Avengers: Endgame. Also, it's very important to understand the evolution of Thor's powers that are showcased in the last two Avengers movies. One of the locations in the Avengers: Endgame is going to throw you completely off of you don't watch this movie. This one only has to do with Thor’s abilities but it also points to different things about the Hulk that won't be understood unless you watch this movie.
