2017's Top Mindblowing Covers on Youtube

Updated on June 25, 2017

Who haven't heard of songs striking the top of charts this year? Lots of songs have been released so far and they already made their way to the title of "Hit". Ed Sheeran, who's many's favorite, released two lead singles for his "Divide" album: Castle On The Hill and Shape Of You, and we can see how successful they are. Katy Perry released "Chained To The Rhythm" which already reached and exceeded 40 million views on YouTube. In another word: 2017's songs are awesome.

And, of course, there isn't a hit song without at least dozens of dozens of covers. People get to the top of their best and perform their version of the songs, and believe or not, sometimes covers are better than the original songs.
But, of course, YouTube covers can range from Ugly...bad...good... To awesome.

While listening to songs on YouTube, I came through some covers that really blew my mind, So I'm here sharing them with you.

Chained To The Rhythm

Yup! We know it's Katy Perry's awesome new song. You don't like it? I like it and everybody like it. Deal with that!

I listened to a guy's covering the song on YouTube and his version is so good. He made a "manly" version out of that song considering the cover features a male voice. But also this guy wasn't lazy to add some guitar and piano tunes, and also change the rhythm of the song, and I think he brought more emotions to it by his way of singing and his slight background music .

It Ain't Me

Look who's here! Selena Gomez is making here a duo with Kygo to get almost 50 million views on the released tune. It's the first time that we see this collaboration, and well, that was a special kind of collaboration that gave a pretty good but also successful song.

I saw a cover of this song on YouTube by a girl singing the tune in one voice and hitting some slight guitar notes, and that's good way to cover a pop song :P.
Her good voice added the singing feeling to the song, and that's what's in particular special about her version.
Also, she got a lot of positive comments of people admiring her cover.

Cold

Maroon 5 came out with a new song lately called "Cold".
In fact, this song isn't their best and isn't their worse.

This guy here covered the song and that brought him some not bad number of views.
As I've seen so far, this cover was the shortest of them all, but I think it's worth watching.

Name For You

That is the tune that The Shins released in January this year. Not so different from their other songs' style, but it is absolutely one of their best songs.

Strumming guitar chords and singing is a good way to make a song sounds different, and that's what this guy did, and he really got me to like his cover, don't you?

Shape of you

Ed's long-waited song had a lot of people dying to record a cover. And yeah, isn't that cool?
But the coolest part in the whole thing was finding this talented guy out of nowhere that not only covered the song, but rearranged it to become a Rock song! God, I was astonished...The riffs, the guitar solo, and then the drums which Ed would never feature on his song. And the guy kept Ed Sheeran's voice. Just listen to the whole thing.

Firework

I know this is not a 2017 song but guys c'mon, the video has 976 451 686 views on YouTube.
This Katy Perry's song is considered on of her best, and I would consider this cover done by the same guy above just breathtaking. Firework was turned to a Rock guitar-featuring song with a Heavy Rock solo. This guy is really talented
