Helen has been watching anime for almost 20 years! She is interested in a variety of genres and enjoys reading manga as well

1. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge

The wallflower is a great anime that will make you laugh and understand the insecurities of a young girl who just doesn't want to be compared to the pretty people who surround her. She considers herself as a very dark girl who doesn't think anything pretty suits her and only dark and grotesque things do.

Ok to be honest I actually don't like how the male characters look and didn't even want to give this anime a chance but after watching the first episode I was glad that I did. when I first discovered this anime when I was a teenager I felt very insecure about myself (like most teenagers do or is it just me? lol)and after I finished watching it. I ended up feeling somewhat silly about thinking that way. Everyone has their own merits and beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.

2. Akatsuki no Yona
