A Mile A Minute Movie

If you want suspense and non-stop action, then go see Unstoppable. You don’t have to think much about this film. It is pure entertainment. The movie never stops once it gets going. With great performances, great action and suspense, and great scenery, Unstoppable is the movie to check out this holiday season.

Denzel Washington and Chris Pine play two heroic train workers who risk their lives to stop an unmanned train carrying toxic chemicals that is heading into a populated area and could derail destroying thousands of lives and causing mass destruction. I know, it does not sound like the cleverest plot, however it is based on true events and it is one great rollercoaster ride of a movie.  Directed by my favorite director, Tony Scott, Unstoppable is a great thrill ride that has lots of action sequences that will keep the audience entertained. Believe me; you cannot be bored with this film at all.

What I loved about this film is that it reminded me of Speed the first time I saw it. It was non-stop and kept going to the very end. Unstoppable is the same exact way. It is a thrill ride from beginning to end. Although I am a big fan of movies that make you think it is refreshing to have a film like Unstoppable. All you have to do is sit back, buckle up and enjoy this thrill ride because once the projector displays the first scene, the rest of the film flies by. Also, the location of where they shot the film provides a great backdrop for this pulse pounding film. In the rural west of Pennsylvania is where a majority of this film was shot.

Tony Scott never lets me down on the way he directs his films. He uses such unique camera angles and is one of the best at putting an action thriller together. He uses so many cameras to capture his action scenes which make all of his films extremely creative. I wouldn’t say that this is his best film; I would however say that it is one of his better films.

If you want a movie that delivers action, suspense and thrills then I would advise you to go see this movie. It is not a complicated movie. It has good character development. And the best part is that you can leave your thinking cap at home when going to see this movie.
