Walking in the Hills of Loma Linda
Many people think that in Southern California you need to work out at the gym, but there are multiple nature trails where you can get exercise instead. Going to the gym is a great way to get in shape and stay fit for many, but why not get out and explore some of the local walking trails for free? Also, many people cannot afford a gym membership, and walking and hiking are free forms of exercise that are within everyone's means. Recently I took a hike up in the hills of Loma Linda, and I enjoyed seeing many different types of plants and flowers. In the early spring, the flowers would be more spectacular, but there were still plants of interest in late June.
Walking in the hills above Loma Linda is a great form of exercise, and a wonderful way to enjoy the view below.
It was enjoyable taking a nice leisurely walk to the top of the hills, and coming back down was scenic as well.
The next time you think you have to be stuck working out in the gym, I would encourage you to explore some of the local walking trails instead.
