Warm Bodies: A Movie Review
Warm Bodies based off a best selling novel written by writer Isaac Marion was directed by Jonathan Levine and is an emotional tale about love having no boundaries. Showing the true meaning of love and the power of connection.
Taking place in a post apocalyptic world, a zombie who goes by the name R, (not remembering his real name anymore) is unlike any of the other zombies and is actually tired of being lonely. Walking aimlessly around he has grown bored of his life or should we say lack of it?
One day he comes across Julie, a young survivor of the epidemic, and rescues her from a zombie attack. At first of course as anyone would be, Julie is hesitant and weary of him. Over time though the two seem to develop an unusual yet sweet relationship with one another and the zombie world seems to be transforming as the relationship becomes stronger between them.

While some of the most popular movies of this decade feature supernatural romances between werewolves, vampires and humans; zombies have seemed to be left out of the love fest until now.
While the mixture of comedy, romance and zombies could have turned out to be another one of those cheesy films that just leaves you wanting your money back, Warm Bodies is refreshingly original and actually hilarious, having a cleverness all its own. Having some similarities to the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare (complete with a balcony scene) but with a satirical twist!
R like most zombies communicates through groans but no worries because the narration will leave you laughing til you cry! "Don't be creepy, don't be creepy." He tells himself. Overall Warm Bodies is an A+ in my book so go check it out!
