Watch Romantic Comedy Movies: 3 Romantic Comedies Movies You Should Watch

Updated on March 8, 2011

Watching romantic comedy movies bestows my spirit with wonderful feelings of love, joy and thrill. Oh well, I confess I am a romantic at heart. You know there are days when you just want to curl up on the sofa and get yourself engrossed in love fights and sweet kisses and crazy and cry and laugh and cry some more.

Romantic movies make me see the many different sides to a story, perspectives drawn out from a myriad of experiences that at one point you meet a character that resonates with your being. Remember the proposal?  Remember the complicated feelings and situations you found yourself in?  And what about the insane ideas we do when we are hurt and confused?  Well here I am remembering all these and more in this 3 wonderful romantic comedy movies.

Keep romance alive.  Believe in love....and guess what?  happy endings make you believe in love time and time again.

The Proposal (Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds)

The Proposal

Workhalic, tyrannical book editor, Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) and the overworked asistant Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) pairs off in the romantic-comedy The Proposal. Margaret in an attempt to find a solution to her dilemma (deportation back to Canada) annouced that she and Andrew are engaged to be married! Andrew who was also yearning for a promotion went along with her scheme. Everything was going well as planned until the overzealous immigration official wanted to prove that their engagement was a lie. So to prove that their marriage was real, Margaret agreed to go to Alaska with Andrew and be his family which of course was an experience that changed their lives forever.

It's Complicated (Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin)

It's Complicated

Two-time Academy Award® winner Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin star in this hilarious romantic comedy that speaks of marriage, divorce and everything in between, including an affair!  Jane’s world, (Meryl Streep) a rich divorcee with a thriving bakery and being fine on her own, has her world turn upside down when a dinner with ex-husband, Jake (Alec Baldwin), turns into an affair!  Unimaginable as it may seem but it surely happened.  To make things complicated, Adam (Steve Martin) falls for Jane.  Of course, there is also Jake’s young wife in the picture.  It is....complicated!
