I know Clint Eastwood Personally

Updated on June 5, 2009

Clint Eastwood: The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Clint Eastwood and I go way back. We met back in 2006 when a couple of college buddies and I went to Niagara Falls. At first I didn't recognize him, but sure enough it was him. My friends and I were totally taken back by him- he wasn't really friendly, helpful or considerate. In fact, he was pretty cold! Regardless, we brought out the camera and took a quick photo of him.

No Autograph

So what's the first thing you'd do when meeting such a high caliber hollywood celebrity? Get the autograph, right? Well, that's exactly what we tried to do! I waited around until there were no people nearby. There were lots of people in the vicinity, but they were all standing still and seemed to not pay attention to him, so I made my move. He totally stood me up. I was so frustrated! Here's this guy that you really want to look up to and he stiffed me for a simple signature! In fact, he didn't even say anything to me- it was as if he was trying to pretend he didn't hear me, hoping I would disappear!

Mr. Eastwood's personality

So, since I've met Mr. Clint Eastwood, I thought I'd comment on his personality. He's pretty much a cold-hearted snot! He was not a high-polished celebrity like I was hoping. In fact, he seemed to be completely waxed of all emotions! Nothing seemed to matter to him. I must confess, though, that he did seem very focused in on something. I couldn't quite tell what it was but it was something that apparently meant a lot to him. I never really was able to capture his attention, as he was in a different world.

Well, I hope you have better luck in getting to know Clint Eastwood, the hollywood legend. That is, IF you ever meet him! I was able to get nothing out of him. In fact, I wasn't even supposed to put my arm around him like that, but I snuck it in for the photo. (Good thing I didn't get in trouble for it.) I'm sure he's a great guy, but he was nothing but RUDE in the WAX MUSEUM IN NIAGARA FALLS, CANADA!!!

All thoughts expressed in this hub are completely opinionated
and are inteded for humor. Please take it as such and don't
assume any judgments on my part concerning Mr. Eastwood are
accurate. HE'S A FRIGGIN' WAX FIGURE PEOPLE!

Now that you know that I was referring to a wax figure, read through the hub again and see if you don't get more laughs out of it! You might be surprised!

Was this an entertaining hub or a complete waste of your time?

Thought it was for real and continued reading but couldn't help but stare at the picture then when you said he was really cold then I knew it wasn't the real Clint Eastwood. Funny and nice, just feel bad I just read it today.

haha very true. I've got some of tom cruise (pre couch-jumping explosion, of course), Tom Hanks (a very YOUNG Hanks), and others. Seeing the "popularity" of this hub leads me to believe that another, similar hub wouldn't be the best thing for my hubscore...haha

haha yeah I've got quite a few of those photographs. The Oprah one is a little off because the wax museum hadn't "updated" her figure in a while. She was the overweight Oprah from 10 years ago.

haha Garry, that's crazy! I hate it when I catch myself in a daze only to realize I was staring inappropriately at something even though I didn't realize it. I'd seriously love to meet him in person, but I suppose the closest I'll get is that wax figure.

And along the lines of Hawaii- there is a TON of celebrities living out there (or at least a ton that own houses out there)! It reminds me of the L.A. area.

glassvisage- yeah, this wax museum was a little older so their celebrities looked a little younger. I suppose it's hard (and costly) to "update" a wax figure, so they just leave them.

I thought that he looked a little weird in the picture... I actually thought you were confused, because it didn't look like him that much! :)

      Funny,

My most interesting Eastwood encounter happened on Maui. I was stuck in traffic, and had been for some time. I was in that board day dreaming kind of state you fall into when waiting is all you can do. My attention drifted from my steering wheel to the car in front of me to the car beside me, a dark SUV going the opposite direction, the driver was a beautiful olive skinned woman with long dark hair. She was focused on the traffic and gave me no notice so I was enjoying looking at her. Quite beautiful actually, she had the look of someone with money but in a sophisticated way, very elegant and tasteful. Maybe European I thought. I don’t know how long I had been enjoying her beauty and speculating on her when I got that feeling that you get when someone is really focusing their attention on you. A little voice in the back of my mind whispered, “Busted!” I pulled myself quickly from the day dreaming state and focused my eyes past the attractive woman to her passenger seat and the source of the invading discomfort. It was at this point I found myself looking directly in the menacing eyes of Clint Eastwood’s best Good Bad and Ugly stare. Yup, I had been checking out his wife, having no idea who I was looking at. I held my hands up apologetically and gave a, well, what do you expect sort of grin. Mr. Eastwood broke into a full grin and shaking his head set back in his seat, mercifully letting me of the hook.

You know, this is a lot longer when you try to write it down.

haha yeah he "stiffed" me all right. When you read it through the first time, did you think it was real? I'm thinking about doing more hubs like this one since I've got pictures of me with Dr. Phil, Oprah, Willie Nelson and tons of others! Best $10 I spent.

I agree Desa! Of course this was a humerous hub and the photo is a wax rendition of Clint Eastwood, but I'm sure there are plenty of celebrities out there that would be this way in real life. Yet another reason why they aren't good role models for the next generation, right?

It was a typical celeb. incounter...i grew up in L.A. ihave ran into quite a few ppl and they all have that attitude...mostly the actors, now the music ppl are a lot different but still can be the same...

it is a sad thing that someone that is respected and looked up too would be so cold. We understand that they get very little personal time due to crazy fans, but come on now, they are smart enough to tell the diffence between a "crazy" fan and a simple hey how are you can i have an autograph sorry to bother type of fan.

Theres no excuse for that behavior from a "role model"

      Have a Great Day!!!
