Why I Almost Cried Over Coco

Updated on March 26, 2018

Coco is a family film that released in 2017, about a young boy named Miguel who despite his families ban on music, has dreams of being like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz.

With a desperate desire to prove his musical ability, Miguel finds himself in the land of the dead. There are many twist in turns in this family fun film, that will allow you to follow the journey of a young boy trying to find his purpose in life.

What I liked about CoCo.

I really enjoyed the story first and foremost. The story will capture your heart and feel it with warmth and Love. I think They did an incredible job telling a heart warming story that every one can relate to, no matter your cultural background.

I also liked the fact that this movie transcends culture lines. The movie was made in Mexican culture but dealt with heart issues that everyone can identify with regardless of your race.

This movie features an incredible voice over cast and crew. Anthony Gonzalez spoke Miguel the leading character, and he did an absolutely great job! Miguel will steal your heart and hold it for ransom.

Gael Garcia Bernal Spoke another lead character, Hector. Hector was one of my favorite characters in this family fun film. He was funny, likable, suspicious, and he really made you cheer for him in the end.

Benjamin Bratt Played Ernesto de la Cruz, and was truly amazing. I will not spoil the movie for you if you have not seen it, but I'm telling you that you are in for a surprise with Ernesto de la Cruz.

I also enjoyed the musical genius in this movie. I'm a 26 year old black man, and there are songs from this movie that I listen to on a Dailey basis. Songs in Spanish and I'm bumping them because they are just that good.

Again the music in this movie transcend cultural lines. it is music made form the heart that reaches into the souls of listeners.

I loved the nail biting excitement of this movie. this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat, and your heart pounding. If you have not seen this movie I encourage to do so.

What I did not like about this movie.

Honestly I can't think of anything I did not like about this movie. I give this film a 5/5. They did an incredible job with this movie. The production, the imagery, the sound track, it all came together perfectly to create a masterpiece.

If you have not seen this movie, you are truly missing out. Your life will not be complete until you take a few hours to watch this movie. Do not rent this movie because you will want to watch it again and again and again.

Why I almost cried on this movie

The end of this movie there is a song sang called Remember me. If you have not seen the movie I will not spoil it, If you have you know what scene I'm referencing. It was an incredibly emotional, heart warming moment, and I almost let the water works come.

If you watch any trailers on YouTube and read the comments, you will see people saying how sad it was and how hard they cried. So prepare yourself, if your a crier you will surely have good cry watching this movie.

I give Coco 10 thumbs up, a movie that the entire family can enjoy! What are you waiting for, go and pick up Coco and enjoy a Movie night with you and the family.
