Fortune Arterial is a romantic comedy that also contains elements of mystery as well as action. While it is a comedy there are many serious moments throughout and mysteries uncovered similar to Vampire Knight.
The story itself centers around a boy named Kouhei Hasekura who is transferred to a prestigious school for highly gifted high school students. The school itself is located on an island off of mainland Japan and the only way in and out is by boat. Upon his arrive he accidentally discovers that the members of the schools student council are all vampires.

Karin is an adorably funny vampire anime that will stick with you long after it's over. It presents a wide range of characters each with their own unique personalities and their own problems that they must overcome. It's very lifelike in that it reveals something about each character as they themselves find out, making it appear as though you are learning right along with the characters.
The story begins with a girl named Karin who is part of a family of vampires, but wants nothing more then to live as a normal human. One day while at school she meets a boy named Kenta Usui and begins to develop a crush for him. The problem is she's a vampire and he's not.

Rosario + Vampire has a very interesting storyline complete with many references to other animes that you might know. In the very beginning I was already laughing due to the fact that the bus that the main character is being transported in reminded me so much of magic school bus. Don't let the comedy fool you though, the characters have a lot of depth to them and there is an amazing storyline underneath.
The story starts with the introduction of a boy named Tsukune who is accidental transferred to a school full of monsters and vampires. The problem is that he's neither a vampire or a monster, but when he meets a girl with flowing pink hair he thinks it might not be so bad after all.

Moon Phase is an anime jam packed with mystery and the supernatural and it will have you guessing and second guessing until the very end. The setting as well as the characters are extremely unique and yet at the same time they appear very lifelike and believable.
In the beginning we are introduced to Morioka Kouhei who wants to be a photographer despite the fact that his family is full of psychics and exorcist. One day while visiting a German castle with his cousin who is a psychic he takes a picture of a girl named Hazuki who he later finds out is a vampire being held at the castle against her will.. .

A Vampire Anime Filled with Mystery and Twist Like Vampire Knight
Bakemonogatari isn't your average anime and many times can leave you down right confused. Don't be surprised to see a lot of randomness mixed in with important details. It's meant to be a comedy, but it is made in such a way that it really draws you into the mystery and as a result you are constantly trying to piece together the truth behind said mystery.
The anime itself centers around a boy named Koyomi Araragi, who on his way up the stairs of his school catches a girl who had fallen from the top of the staircase. Immediately he notices that she is extremely light and wonders if she is in fact sick. He soon learns however that she is in fact a vampire and for this reason she has no physical weight.
