Beautiful Weakness by Krystal Keith
Whiskey & Lace
I love to listen to country music as I bake. It's a get away time for me. I bake up a delicious dessert and let the music take me away. It gets me in the mood and I end up singing along and even dancing a little. Nothing like dancing in the kitchen while you bake to great country songs.
Krystal Keith
A recent favorite country artist of mine is Krystal Keith, the daughter of Toby Keith. She takes after her Dad in style of music. I recently downloaded her album Wiskey & Lace. It's amazing. Two of my favorite songs on it are Daddy Dance With Me and Beautiful Weakness. Toby sings back up vocal on the Beautiful Weakness. All her songs are amazing but these two songs speak to me. Her voice is absolutely beautiful. Her first recorded song was Mockingbird with her Dad back when she was in high school in 2004. Since then she has followed in her Dad's footsteps and came out with her own album Whiskey & Lace in December 2013. Toby has been completely supportive of his daughter and is very proud of her.
Beautiful Weakness
A quote from the song Beautiful Weakness is "A masterful distraction, you become my favorite sin" sounds like it goes with desserts doesn't it? Desserts are a delicious masterful distraction which in turn is a favorite sin right to our hips. At least for us women. The song is about a relationship that goes wrong; one that is just not healthy but they still find their way to each other. Kinda like sweets, not all are the most healthiest for you but they are sure are tasty!

Krystal Keith Speaks and Sings
Krystal Keith talks about her song Beautiful Weakness. She says it's her favorite song on her new album. Her Dad Toby Keith sings vocal backup on it with her. It's a very pretty song.
I'm sharing Daddy Dance With Me video. It is a beautiful wedding father/daughter song!
Wait till you hear her sing Mockingbird with her Dad back in 2004. She is so much like her Dad!

Country Baking
Besides the amazing Whiskey & Lace album, Krystal Keith cooks and bakes! I found her blog called Krystal Keith in the Kitchen. Now doesn't that beat all; country music and baking. As I looked through the recipes she shares, I found my favorite German chocolate cake but with a cheesecake twist. I must make that cake! German Chocolate cake is my favorite in the whole wide world. It reminds me of my grandma as the recipe Krystal shares is handed down from her great-grandma. I love the connection.
Geman Chocolate Cheesecake by Krystal Keith
There is a blog series on Krystal Keith In The Kitchen. She shares her family recipes. This German Chocolate Cheesecake is her first recipe that her blog kicked off with. She tells a personal a little story about each recipe. I'm pretty excited about this recipe since German Chocolate is my favorite. An added touch of cheesecake sounds heavenly.
