Unmemorable Quotes from Famous Movies
Hundreds of famous movies have been created since the film industry began. Movies like Nosferatu are remembered by their characters, Titanic for its story, and Star Wars for its pop culture enlightenment. What isn't remembered though, are the specific lines which make the films great. Of course, there are some instances were lines such as "I'll make him an offer he can't refuse" are burned into memory, but the rest are lost.
Over the past year, I have watched nearly 100 movies thanks to Blockbuster and On-Demand. It's given me a better perspective on what makes movies great. No longer are movies such as Shenandoah and Vertigo (I love Jimmy Stewart) foreign to me. They are now part of my favorite films of all-time. As well, my list of great quotes have increased hundred-fold. It's fantastic! Moving on...
Let's take a look at some of the lesser known quotes which help make famous films memorable.
Famous Films
Our memory of movies
Many of the most famous films in history are remembered for their storyline, characters, or special effects. But what isn't remembered, are the quotes which put everything together and lead up to the climax. If it wasn't for them, the movies wouldn't be what we see them as today; they'd just be another cheesy film. The movie lines help establish the plot, setting and give details about the characters. Seen out of context, many of the famous quotes we've grown to love wouldn't even make sense. However, once we have seen the films we can relate it directly to the characters and plot.
Here are just a few quotes which aren't remembered but have helped put their respective films on the movie map.

Unmemorable quotes from the best movies
For whatever reason, the most famous lines of movies aren't always the best, almost like pop music. Oh yes, I went there! The famous lines are easy to recite and most often come at the climax. They were simply at the right place at the right time.
The true great quotes are the ones which have been forgotten; every famous movie has them. They are those one-liners which slip on by but are actually quite genius. They settle in our minds and run around a bit, helping our overall enjoyment; they give the film that extra push it needed to get over the top. Nonetheless, for whatever reason, they are forgotten. It's as if the producers implanted chips into our brains to forget these lines until we view the film 1000 times. That's why I'm here, to help you easily find what you missed!
So here we are, a list of 10 great unmemorable quotes from 10 of the best movies ever made.

In my opinion the single best line from a movie ever!
"I'm Hub McCann. I've fought in two World Wars and countless smaller ones on three continents. I led thousands of men into battle with everything from horses and swords to artillery and tanks. I've seen the headwaters of the Nile, and tribes of natives no white man had ever seen before. I've won and lost a dozen fortunes, KILLED MANY MEN and loved only one woman with a passion a FLEA like you could never begin to understand. That's who I am. NOW, GO HOME, BOY!"
