Rock and Roll, Best Retro Music Ever

Updated on October 24, 2014

My Dog Jackson Blue

Put Another Dime In The Jukebox, Baby

I love rock and roll. Put another dime in the jukebox, baby. We had oldies and we had kick ass rock and roll.

When my dog ate my speakers last year, I just let it go, doggie love being what it is and all. Rock and roll forever!

What I lost rock music wise -

Elvis Aron Presley

Rolling Stones

Michael Jackson

Creedence Clearwater Revival

Peter Paul and Mary

Herman's Hermits

I could go on and on with this list and probably will.

Pure 60's: The #1 Hits

Pure 60's: The #1 Hits
Pure 60's: The #1 Hits

The 60s had pure music, no doubt about it.

Blogs For Dogs

Jackson Blue is my dog's name. He really is a very good dog, and he's musically inclined to boot; so is his buddy, Pepe'.

Ok then.

Lowrider Oldies: Cruisin Chrome

Kick Ass Rock And Roll

We had the best music growing up. No doubt, every generation says that, but they are not running this show.

OK, I agree that the 50s laid the ground work for rock 'n roll, but the best music came out in the late 60s and the 70s. And I'm not going to argue with you about it.

I voted above for the sixties, my teenage years but after seeing your answer I thought about my CD collection and just how many I have from the fifties, you could be right. Thanks for the memories

I am sorry to hear about your speakers, I know your dog didn't understanding their purpose! Fortunately, a wonderful thing about music is that it is hard to really "lose" these days! As Joni Mitchell once said, people don't ask artists like Van Gogh to "paint a Starry Night over and over again", but musicians are frequently asked to recreate their art over and over again for our listening pleasure!

I know a cat who brushed his claws on vinyl records, but never heard about dog with such insatiable appetite for good music. Well nothing can take away our memories, right? Thanks for sharing and all the best!

Nice lens! Sorry to hear about your speakers though, I totally understand the doggie love bit. My mom has phenomenal taste in music, she introduced me to Dylan, CCR, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and so much more at a young age. Have loved them ever since.
